I listened to all 5 hours of the Ethan Muse episode by podcast. I couldn’t stop listening… brilliant!

Gullible
Some decent content, but fairly gullible. If you think Moses actually went to a mountain to receive (highly immoral) laws from the creator of the universe then you are, I have to say, gullible. In fact, I have a cryptocoin I’d like you to invest in.

So many commercials now
My favorite podcast had become one I avoid, especially when the fast forward button isn’t at my fingers (like when I am working). I get the need for money, but it’s too much.

Was too bad when he sold out for the click buzz in his Ted Cruz article saying things completely contrary to catechism. Used to like the show

So glad I stumbled upon this Catholic Podcast!

I used to love it
It makes me sad to update my review but the show isn’t the same. I hadn’t listened to the 1st few episodes since Matt joined Daily Wire & the very one I did, Matt took a shot at both Tucker Carlson & Candace Owens. I don’t want to listen to propaganda or conversations that need Ben Shapiro’s approval. Praying the best for Matt & his family. It was good while it lasted.

Cover photo
Matt, please change the cover photo! It doesn’t look as sharp or professional as the rest of the content. I’m not sure what the vibe is meant to be - recovering from pints, exhausted after recording, or something else? It comes across as quite undignified next to other podcast covers on my phone. Everyone else is standing or sitting properly, and you’re laying down on a tilted table. (?) A more upright, energetic shot would look much better. Thanks!

One Pint In, 34 Episodes Deep
I’ve recently been listening to the Pints With Aquinas podcast. I discovered it after a friend sent me a link about the Shroud of Turin. I was fascinated, started searching for more content, and eventually found Matt’s episode on the topic. If I remember correctly, it was around three hours long, and honestly one of the best podcast formats I’ve ever listened to. After that, I went all the way back to Episode 1 and I’m now on Episode 34. I have no idea how many episodes are left, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to take me a very long time to catch up. What I appreciate most is that the show has exposed me to the writings of Thomas Aquinas in a way I never could have consumed on my own. The podcast makes deep theology approachable without watering it down. God love you, Matt, for the show and for the integrity with which you present the material.

Awesome
Great interviews, I especially love the Shayne smith episodes. (Update) the last call episodes are also good

Matt is excellent and does a great job of allowing his guest to speak while asking very good questions

Conversion
I began listening to Pints as a student at a Protestant Seminary, I am leaving as a Catholic. This showed played a huge role in my conversion. I’d like to add now some years later — I found Pints show helpful when it was in Matt’s Kitchen, when it was in Steubenville, When he employed Thursday, When he was in Florida, and I continue to find him helpful now that he is at Daily Wire. By helpful I mean — Matt produces content and interviews people that encourage me love Jesus Christ and want to serve Him and His Church.

Undecided
I’m still working my way through. I definitely preferred the show when Aquinas was discussed more. I don’t mind the longer form interviews at all, but that’s also around the time it became less focused on Aquinas. One thing that would help me is if the titles were more direct and revealed what of St. Thomas’ work would be discussed. Going back and trying to find the good episodes and those of interest feels like sifting through wheat.

Incredible
This is great! I find the discussions to be intelligent, interesting, and, on the occasion, inspiring. Thank you so much for the episodes on Eucharistic Miracles, The Resurrection, and especially the one with the sisters of life!

Still speaking the Truth
Matt is definitely in a new situation now that he is with DW. So far he’s still speaking the truth. He is not the only Catholic on that platform and like some of the others he still speaks his mind. Most of those criticizing him are just mad that he’s telling the truth about Christ and His Church, or already distrust DW and so write him off. He relates the truth of the Catholic faith, and though he hasn’t covered every topic under the sun, he does justice to all the topics that he does address. Please keep bringing on strong guests like Scott, Joe, Brant, and others.

Use to listen regularly
Use to enjoy his independence. Now the elephant in the room is obvious. Sadly captured. He defends catholicism from all directions, except from one. He stops short and dances around the persecuted Christians in the holy land, Lebanon, just war theory.. insinuates that Catholics who defend Christians in Israel are uncharitable and too extreme - deflecting away from cowardice and monetary gain. Pray for him, perhaps he will realize that he’s part of a portfolio of propaganda and an organization that does not wish Catholics well.

I very much enjoy listening to Matt’s podcast, especially since he often spends time discussing non-Catholic ideas like Islam, Mormonism, and even the history of the crusades. Matt is a brilliant questioner, and he invites hosts from a wide variety of backgrounds. I don’t smoke or drink, but his fun accent more than compensates. Keep up the good work, sir.

Not for me
This is a strange "Catholic" podcast for me. I followed as soon as I found it thinking I had finally found something that could indulge my interests in both history and my faith with maybe a bit of humor and reality. The one episode I listened to made a weird joke about women which on top of being just plain misogynistic/ not very Christian, felt very out of place to the conversation they were having. Very weird to make a comment like that, not discuss what was meant by it at all, continue preaching about Christianity, and then leave that weird joke in the episode post editing. They then went on to discuss how they don't believe in Eucharistic miracles and put down others who do believe or who have experienced one before! Like hello??? I was very confused because isn't this the basis of our entire faith? I agree with other reviewers about making introductions at the beg of each episode as well. It may take an extra 2 minutes of your day, but people who are just dropping in don't know who you are. I'm sorry if I offend but based off of no introduction and the one episode I listened to, my best guess is that it's an atheist or maybe non denominational host, discussing faith with Christians and Catholics. Yeah it's not for me at all. It feels like walking into a room with people you've never met before who are just tearing you down in front of you.

This guy is a complete idiot
Try’s to act intelligent but is completely ignorant to reality. Don’t bother.

Catholic when it fits his politics. Silence on Church teachings that challenge his biases.
Matt spends so much time punching down at others that it feels like engaging with the full richness of Catholic theology, culture, and intellectual traditions isn’t the priority. I understand that Matt is a conservative guy and that Daily Wire is what it is, but this show ends up doing what it accuses others of. As a Catholic who enjoys some of Matt’s guests, it’s puzzling that he never -- to my knowledge — engages with Catholic social teaching on issues that don’t code conservative/right. The principles of Catholic social teaching (see Pope Leo XIII’s Rerum Novarum from 1891) are deeply rooted in Catholic tradition. You can’t only talk about political and cultural issues like abortion and sexuality, and minimize issues such as migration, non-violence, care for creation, and abolishing the death penalty, then go around belittling other people (more liberal Catholics, Protestants, secular people) for the exact same behavior. Would really enjoy seeing Matt branch out, be kinder to others, and challenge himself more.

All of the interviews
The relaxed atmosphere, the cigars…the sense of humor….. all contribute to serious conversations…. I would love to smoke a cigar and have an ice-filled glass of my apple bourbon as I sit down to relax and watch you….but as a female, no cigar, but I do love the smell, and no more bourbon in the house just because….. and yes, it is Apple Bourbon… when I was drinking…as I would tell the young men who work at the liquor store…”an apple (or two) a day keeps the doctor away”. God Bless all of you. Dean Bernadette Baldwin.

Being so full of hate isn't christian.
For someone that spends so much time professing to be disciple of Christ, he spends a lot of of his time and energy bringing down others and belittling non catholic christians. We need each other more than ever but matt's pride and desire to show his intellect gets in the way of showing charity towards others and striving to unite. He is a divider and would do well to study with humility how Christ spoke to and about those who had other beliefs. You can be a bold christian without tearing down others.

PwA has helped my faith
Pints is a very entertaining and uplifting podcast that I have found to be a much-needed replacement for all the empty entertainment and political podcasts. I am now more mindful of my faith and have been praying more regularly. Thanks, Matt

No Intros
The host expects a lot from his audience. For example, he doesn’t provide any background on whom he is speaking with, or even their name. Great for folks who are inside the circle of what is bringing discussed, but it’s like coming in in the middle if you’re not up to date on all things Catholic.

Unfortunately Illogical
Really tried hard to enjoy this, however so many of the interviews and discussions were theologically immature and illogical. Most of the time it was discouraging parishioners from conducting research and pure Protestant maligning/bashing. This is one of the reasons why a lot of Protestants have the reputation of being much more steeped in theology than lay Catholics.
damvo13
Increasingly Confused and Pseudo-Political
The frequent mid-sentence interruptions with ads are very annoying. So too is the melodramatic intro now with sampled-in quotes from the episode immediately following. The increasing number of interviews with conservative pundits strays a good deal from what seemed like the initial PWA mission. Something has really been lost in the quality.

Best Catholic Podcast
This is the best Catholic podcast there is. Especially love his interviews with religious like Mother Natalia and Fr Gregory Pine. I also appreciate the more casual long-form episodes. I really do believe this podcast has been a valuable part of my spiritual formation.

Love the Lofi music
I love the Lofi. Especially especially the sayings of Fulton J Sheen. I grew up with my dad playing cassette tapes of Fulton J Sheen. And mom talking about the show with his “angel at the chalkboard.”

Growing in faith with Jesus
I listen to Bible in a Year, Catechism in a Year, Rosary in a Year, Unpacking the Mass, Michael Knowles, Ask Chris West and Pints with Aquinas and know in my heart that the Spirit in me will reveal all and that sometime I will understand better and evolve to become by a true brother in Christ. Thanks Matt for all your guest, since one by one my faith is increasing and the truth is revealed and my faith is increased. Now if Jesus would just talk sometime to me….

The most annoying episode
The interview with John Crist was the most annoying and odd interview Fradd has done to date. His interviews are always typically so well done. The entire 2 hours, Fradd was acting like he’s never heard of anything. Like, dude you’ve lived in America for more than 30’seconds. How have you never heard of our major sports celebs. How have you never heard of anything??? He was so confused and dumbfounded the entire time it was beyond annoying.

Sellout. I will never listen to a Daily Wire podcast again.
Why would you board a sinking ship like the Daily Wire? How much did you sell your soul to them for? Hope it’s worth it. 🤣

You’re The Problem
I”ve been a listener from the beginning. I cannot in good faith continue supporting your screeds against The Church. Your insistence on perfect worship and your running down the novus ordo is borderline schismatic. In your bubble of aesthetically perfect worship, you have become incapable of seeing how fussy and exclusionary you sound. I love you brother, but you have become that guy.

Honestly raunchy sometimes
I’ve listened to Matt Fradd sporadically over the years and while there is certainly good stuff on here and maybe it’s just a coincidence, but every time I listen he says or alludes to things in a raunchy way. As a man with influence, it adds up. These comments about sex, manliness, women, etc., they just seem like outdated boyish jokes. Or insecurity. I understand he has struggled with pornography and Matt Fradd would be the first to say he is a sinner but as someone who is often giving out advice, I feel like he should be helping set a better example in speech - for men, towards his wife, about others, etc. People should walk away sensing Christian goodness. It just feels like a mix of goodness and ickiness about Catholics. Idk, feels off. But thank you for the good parts
