As I try to get my business idea off the ground, I review the startup advice I've received over the years, take inspiration from 80-era fictional startups and recruit a team to build a prototype.  Things get off the rails pretty quickly.

After returning to Seattle, I begin to explore what type of work would be most meaningful to me.  I talk to friends who have made significant transitions in their lives and explore my own past experiences for ideas and inspiration.

We continue our road trip through the American west.  Along the way we search for meaning in street art in Boise Idaho, heed lessons from the pioneers of the Oregon trail and encounter terror on a canoe in Crater Lake.

After quitting my job, I hit the road with my wife and two young kids starting in Minnesota and heading to our home in Seattle.  We encounter bikers on their way to the Sturgis rally, commune with bison in the Black Hills and find our bliss at the Grand Tetons.
