Dj / Producer / Teacher William Arist (William Aristegui) is a DJ, producer, and teacher from Uruguay, driven by a passion for exploring sound and sharing knowledge. His music blends a powerful, contemporary take on techno, leading to releases on respected labels and support from some of the most established artists in the scene. He has also worked on remixes and collaborated with artists such as Truncate, Gary Beck, Vinicius Honorio, Alarico, Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell, Vil, Gene Richards Jr, Koyu, Flug, Conrad Van Orton, Uncertain, Beau Didier, Fossil Archive, Jon Hester and more. As a DJ, he has chosen to remain discreet, yet his work has still captured the attention of clubs and promoters. He was a resident DJ at Stereo Club Montevideo (2018–2019), and has performed across several South American countries, sharing the booth with artists such as DVS1, SHDW, Dax J, Ellen Allien, Dj Koolt, Truncate, Setaoc Mass, Vinicius Honorio, Adriana Lopez, PEARL, Fadi Mohem, Zisko, Marcal among many others. Beyond his personal projects, he runs Espacio Sonoro, a music production school that was initially part of the Uruguayan Association of Musicians and later evolved into an online platform, welcoming students from over 15 countries. He also runs Perseverancia Records, a label that continues to grow thanks to a dedicated community. In addition, he collaborates with other educational platforms and institutions, offering masterclasses and lectures worldwide. Currently, he is focused on expanding ARIST, a platform that brings together his labels and music production tools, aiming to create more opportunities for artists and producers within an independent and collaborative ecosystem.
