Peoria Unified’s Progress Report is our new podcast where we breakdown the larger topics and programs that require more nuance than is provided in our bi-weekly podcast, Trending Peoria. Each episode, released quarterly, or as needed, will focus on major updates within Peoria Unified including our Strategic Plan, Bond Initiatives and other major projects. Progress Report will include interviews from individuals within the Peoria Unified family. Depending on the subject matter, we will interview teachers, administrators, support staff, students, community members and industry experts.

Restart and Rebuild: Strategic Thinking Part II

This fall we will be entering into the restart and rebuild stage of our strategic plan. This reimagined plan will span three to five years and position Peoria Unified as a national leader in preK-12 education. The plan is centered on four strategic perspectives: Student Learning, Safety and Well-Being, Community Connectedness and Stewardship of Resources. Today, I am joined by our Superintendent Dr. Jason Reynolds as we discuss the status of our strategic plan and what our community can look forward to in the coming years. I am also joined by Erik Stone the Principal of Parkridge Elementary who served as a facilitator at our Parent Engagement Forum; and we discuss some of the feedback that was received.
