Since 1912, the Echols family has grown peaches in the north Georgia countryside. Today, they grow and sell homegrown strawberries, blackberries, muscadines, scuppernongs, Concord grapes, watermelon, squash, tomatoes, zucchini, pumpkins and more during harvest season. They are also known for their fall corn maze, homemade pies and soft-serve. Our hearts are aching with this current situation and how it’s impacting our local small businesses and nonprofits. So, we’ve decided to respond by reaching out to tell their stories and prompt action. We’re going behind the scenes with these beloved brands to first learn the story behind how they launched, to discuss how they are pivoting and also how we as communities can help. Instead of our typical narrative style, our format will be q and a. Our interviews will be via Zoom so our audio quality may not be as crisp as normal.
