Welcome to this week's shakeout where we open up the mailbox (well, emails, WhatsApp and socials!) and share all of our wonderful audience interaction with you.
We hear from a listener who might be able to help us achieve our dream of running on a Formula 1 track - pinch us, is it real? It got us ruminating on the similarities between motor racing and running.. It's all about the fuel you put in!
We also discuss if and when to push on in a race if you're feeling a bit under the weather. As Thommo says, it's like when you're grumpy, you might not realise you're ill until you're not!
PLUS we have The Honours Board with lots of lovely pictures sent in so hop on to our YouTube channel so you can see them too!
Paula personally requests you to please keep sending videos and photos.. We think they're brilliant.

Hannah opens up about the juggle of being a mum to a young baby and still needing to work - breastfeeding in any room available after commentating to the World! We hear about the joy that comes from running and not having the pressure to achieve any more because just chasing those endorphins is enough.
She also reflects on some major changes in the sport and we get the inside scoop on the Diamond League in Monaco.

Welcome back to Paula's Run Club!
In week nine of "Here Comes The Run", Paula & Thommo explore the fascinating intersections between elite running and Formula 1.
They are joined by Alan Permane, the Team Principal of Racing Bulls and an avid runner who has completed the London Marathon.
The conversation with Alan delves into the technical parallels between F1 and athletics. He talks about driver preparation, covering everything from core and neck strength to the use of ice baths for recovery in hot climates like Singapore. He also shares his personal race-day routine, which involves a morning run to manage stress and clear his head before heading to the track.
In this hot summer, Paula and Thommo offer essential advice for summer running safety, highlighting the importance of hydration and electrolytes in the heat, noting that children often struggle to communicate when they are thirsty or hungry during activity.
There's also announcement for a special live podcast recording and shakeout run in Durham on July 15th and a look at the British Championships

Bonus Paula's Run Club Episode Alert!
London Marathon Race Director Hugh Brasher sits down with Paula and Thommo to talk about The Double: the 2027 London Marathon which is now being run over 2 days.
We all had lots of questions and a LOT of excitement when the announcement was made, but how exactly is this going to work?
Who will run on which day?
Will there be a special Saturday medal?
How will London be affected by the marathon taking over for a whole weekend - with the kids' races now on Friday as well?
How will those young runners cope with having to take a day off school?!
And... is this REALLY a one-off?
We try to get Hugh to answer all of these questions in this special bonus Q&A.
Massive thanks to Hugh for his time to come on to the pod.
We'll be back with a Shakeout on Thursday and another full podcast on Monday.
We'd love to hear from you with your questions, comments and nominations for the Honour's Board which has now moved to The Shakeout episode on a Thursday. Don't forget you can also comment on the episode on YouTube.
