04 The Word Of His Grace | The Lord's Tabernacle With Us The Kind of person you are in the midst of a troubling or perhaps an unbearable situation is more important than the eradication of the situation. Since most of the happenings around us are not within our control, our greatest asset is the kind of person we are in the unsavoury situation. And this is what God does for us: builds us (inner self) up to be formidable to withstand any kind of adversity. He does this through His Word. The Word of God is the only thing that has what it takes to supply and internally construct us with inner fortitude, composure, sanity, serenity and hope. It is only the Word that is able to make one sane and alright even when their surrounding is out of control. It is what will supply you with inner fortitude to keep grinding at the mill even when result does not seem eminent. When the pressures of life are crushing in, it is the Word that will keep you composed. It is what will help you keep your basal urges under control. It is all you need for life. In the Message, “The Word of His Grace: The Lord’s Tabernacle With Us”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter demonstrates practically the indispensability of the Word of God in our lives. And that the indispensable nature of the Word is seen in its internal spiritual dimension. The internal dimension of the Word is the Lord's tabernacle with us – God’s ultimate solution for us. The church is a temple of God according to its relationship with the Word. The destruction of the temple during the Babylonian captivity is symbolic of the decline of the Christian church to the point where the Word has no place to dwell amongst the people of the church. Thus, the rebuilding of the temple refers to the return of the Word in all its fullness. That is, the glory of the Word that shall be revealed in the rebuilding of the temple shall be greater than the former. (This is also referred to in the scriptures as the coming of the new heaven and the new earth). This rebuilding of the temple will first take place as individuals yield themselves to be rebuilt for the habitation of the Word. As the gloves were made for the hands, so are we made for the Word of God to dwell in us in all its depths and dimensions and not just as a mere information. The Word has a place in every area of our being. And it’s when every area of our being respond to the Word that we are at our optimum potential. But how can we receive the hidden manna (whose presence constitute the solution we need) in the Word, seeing it is not perceived by the senses? For the Word to tabernacle in us (Immanuel), we must rise above the externals of the Word. In the message, “The Word of His Grace: The Hearing of Faith”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter breaks down what it takes for the Spirit of truth within the Word to be tabernacled in man. This is what constitute the hearing of faith. He further establishes that the hearing of faith, which builds us for the habitation of God, is beyond the external knowledge of the Word. 01 The Word Of His Grace | The Nature Of The Word The phrase, “the son of man” as used in the scriptures refers to the Lord as to the Word. When Jesus asked, “Whom do men say that I, the son of man am?”, He was enquiring of people’s thoughts and relationship with the Word. We were made to receive life force from the Word. The Word of God, our creator, therefore possesses all the faculties and capabilities that form our make-up as humans. Since the things that plague us (fear, depression, anxiety, despair, anger etc.) are deep seated, we need to access higher dimensions of the Word in order to receive the help the word offers us in our troubles. In the message, “The Word of His Grace: The Nature Of The Word”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter discusses how to appropriately relate with the word of God in order to receive the help available to us in the Word, so that we may know the Word as our saviour. Many are counting on our encounter with the truth, which we come to when we resist evil. When the enemy succeeds in stopping us, he succeeds in hijacking the freedom of others. He goes on to admonish us to be ready to bear in our bodies the sufferings of the Lord Jesus in temptations (bearing the unbearable), so that life will reach others. God has a vision for us: to bring us to a place of true greatness (glory and virtue). We can not attain unto this vision without the wisdom set forth by the word of God. In our quest to realise this vision, the enemy comes in to sell another vision to us. He besets us with numerous temptations, beguiling us into believing there’s nothing to lose. Thus, our resolve to stand our ground is weakened. In this message, The Word of Reconciliation: Don’t Sell Your Birthright, Pastor Jeffrey Walter exposes the vanity of worldly pursuit, which the devil uses to bait us to give up our birthright. As you listen, your eyes will be opened to the reality that, in every temptation, your BIRTHRIGHT is at stake. That is, giving in to temptation is giving up your birthright. The one who proves the Word of God experience its power in truly reconciling their inward rebellious part to God. Such a person comes to the realisation of how crucial the word of reconciliation is in the lives of men. They are therefore unwilling to allow anything to undermine the effectiveness of this word. To be effective carriers of the word of reconciliation, the priest must renounce EVERY hidden thing that stand contrary to the manifestation of the truth as the light of God’s word reveals them. Everyone lives from their inner understanding (a deep-seated conviction). This inner understanding is the light that instructs a person how to live their life. Thus, one becomes a slave to their inner understanding. As such, a person who agrees to the word of God only in the outward understanding, has their inner understanding leading them in a path contrary to the truth. In the message, The Word of Reconciliation, Pastor Jeffrey Walter explains how a person constructs their inner understanding to be rebellious to God’s wisdom and consequently becomes alienated from the life of God. He further demonstrates that the true word of reconciliation is the only hope and remedy for our rebellious inner understanding. And that the true doctrine is one that has the capacity to reconcile not our outer understanding but our inner understanding to God. The call to priesthood is one that requires discipline and endurance. It demands that we study and grow on the job, developing resilience along the way.   The Lord teaches in Matthew 17 that certain hindrances on the path of the priest cannot be removed except by prayer and fasting.    Prayer and fasting, as the Lord teaches in today's message, "Except by Prayer and Fasting", leads us to take steps that condition us to gain access through faith, the things that the Lord makes available to us for the fulfillment of the heavenly vision.

What is the work of the priest? The work of the priest is to bring forth  good from the Lord to others. This good which comes from the Lord by the priest is not  fundamentally to alleviate the material burdens of men but to bring  salvation to the souls of men.    To be able to work effectively as priests, we must seek to know people  as to the heart or their internals and not know them by our physical  senses or according to the flesh.    The priest must be discerning of the spiritual needs of men who faint  and wait for the salvation of the Lord.
