Too good to be fake crime!
I never really got into true crime podcasts. But fake crime? I'm in. I love the incredibly high production values of this show. It makes it feel quite real. And the bit of spooky mystery is fun too! If you like it when reality and fiction blend together, you'll love Passage!

It could have been good
I can’t finish this. I tried. Got three episodes in. Full of SJW garbage. The old white man is portrayed as awful (even though he’s desperately trying to keep the dying town afloat), the coffeshop owner is clearly portrayed as heroic but he’s actively keeping the town from getting new streams of revenue. The thing is i agree with the negative sentiment about big business but the way the coffee shop owner is going about is awful and unproductive. Neither party can shut up and listen to each other and use the skeletons in thr boat to try to draw more visitors into the town *facepalm* Linda’s monologue finished it for me. She’s clearly upset about the shanghai thing, but it happened over a hundred years ago, the practice stopped A LONG TIME AGO and there’s no reason to be preaching at the audience about it. Plus the story makes it sound like only this once place was doing it, probably just to make the mayor seem so much worse. It was common back then especially in places like San Francisco. Does it make it right? Obviously not. Is it worth getting upset about 150 years later? Nope not at all. Im completely weirded out why any of thr characters would lose sleep about something that had ceased to be a thing over a century ago. Not healthy. The thing is the ghost story seems really good but the unfounded righteous anger throughout kills it for me. I’m sadly going to stop listening.

Snowflakes with hurt feelings
It’s so silly that white males are so fragile about their rage that they can’t learn to laugh at themselves. Or I guess it’s only funny when punching down. Anyway, this podcast was intriguing and well-written and acted. Only wish there was more!

About the level of a Scooby Doo plot line...
Poorly acted, Written worse.

Seething White Male Rage
What is that supposed to mean? I don't see ‘seething black female rage’ being a term that would ever be acceptable. Stopes listening as soon as that was said

Skip this one
Really wanted to love this but it was so poorly executed I was done after the second episode.

Excellent and to the point
A wonderful little self-contained story that tells exactly the tale it sets out to and doesn’t drag it out until it stops being good. I wish more podcasts knew exactly what story they wanted to tell and stick to it. It’s one of my favorite introductory podcasts to new listeners!

White male rage
I’m happy that white male rage was mentioned in this podcast, because it made some yoyo angry enough to comment about it.

"White Male Rage"
Episode 6 stated a character had white male rage. That is racist and sexist. So glad this podcast has ended

Tells more than Shows
This is kind of half way between serialized Audio Fiction and Audio Drama. Told almost entirely via chunks of longer expositional dialog from the main narrator, with occasional extra voices of other characters ... like a fictional Serial. I think it’s a good example of how flexible the podcast format is. It’s a fast and fun listen.

Valiant Effort
All in all the podcast is probably not worth listening to. It has elements of a really intriguing tone mixed throughout, sort of like Tannis, but it never quite pays off. It suffers from cliches, vague spiritualism, boorish elements of politics, and seems even a tad cheesy. It wasn’t all that bad, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it either. It had a sort of soap opera feel to it, especially by the halfway mark.

Great quality podcast
Well-written, suspenseful story, professional sounding voice-acting, great music. My only complaint is that it was too short, but that is offset by the fact that the story wraps up nicely and doesn't leave the listener hanging like some podcasts do.

Interesting ideas, poor execution
I listened to this whole podcast in one afternoon; from start to finish it’s just a few hours. It’s a pretty easy podcast to get through, but it’s short length is what kills it. The story is solid on the surface, and has a fresh twist on your typical supernatural horror podcast. But the story can’t seem to decide whether it wants to be realistic or supernatural, and instead ends up being a mixture of both with unsatisfying loose ends. The majority of the story focuses on the mystery of a missing boat off the coast of Washington. However, in the last two-thirds of the story, this mystery takes a backseat to a murder of a character the podcast couldn’t even be bothered to introduce. The podcast then leaves two ghosts to solve the missing boat mystery in the last ten minutes. The supernatural elements of the story feel completely shoehorned in, only present because the writers couldn’t think of any other way for Daisy to “solve” the mystery. I put solve in quotes because Daisy doesn’t so much solve the mystery as stumble onto the answers by pure chance. Because of that, when the truth is finally revealed, it never feels satisfying, because it’s handed to the listener on a silver platter. There’s no lore, or context, or explanation given for the supernatural elements. Why can these two seemingly random people channel these specific spirits? There’s no foreshadowing given, no easing the listener in, just suddenly ghosts are real It completely shatters suspension of disbelief. It’s a shame, because there’s a really interesting story hidden under all the sloppy writing.

A Great Short Story...
... so much so that I wish there were more stories to tell. But sadly this one is at an end.

Great very enjoyable
Great
Tired!!!!!!!!!!!!
Highly Enjoyable
This is really inventive and makes great use of the podcast format. It's kind of a mix between a fictionalized version of Serial and a good, scary, full-cast audiobook. Well worth a listen.

Creepy
I was intrigued with the first episode, but I became a fan after the second. There was a moment toward the end of the second episode that I was not expecting and it genuinely creeped me out. I really don't know where the story will go, but I'll be following it closely.

Hooked from the get go!
Very seldom to teasers get me. This one did! Strong premise; great narrator voice and excellent production. The story is built nicely in episode 1. I'm very excited to see where this is going. Great job!

Love it. Typically I stick to Marc Maron, but this is a great change of pace and something different.
