The purpose of this podcast is to connect our ward together in a more unified way that does not normally allow us. Hearing each other's stories and testimonies is a big reason why Christ organized a church. These episodes are for us and intended to uplift and edify. This has been approved by the bishopric and ward council of the Pasco 10th ward but the words said is not an official representation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Meet an educator and leader in the community, Jamie Morales.
Jaime was born in Grandview WA. Originally wanted to be be in mathematics and science but found a new passion, teaching and education. Through the example of certain friends and colleagues he investigated the church and was baptized. Jaime and Lisa began dating while keep his standards high. When he decided to join he church, he already had the respect of many of his friends and family. Jaime shares why he makes an effort to be known for who he is and not by his appearance. As ambitious as Jaime was in getting started in education, his start was not the smoothest. Every few years Jaime moved his way different grades until one day he applied for an assistant principle. Jaime shares how he worked into a principle position, but is not stopping there. He shares some principles that can be applied in church, family, and work. With a growing challenge of youth and technology, Jaime shares some of this thoughts in the matter, and figuring out what matters most. How do we stay engaged with each other no matter what our proximity is to each other. The small things is how he finds Christ in every day life.

Not JUST the wife of a bishop.
Originally from Texas but had a unique way she was named. Tiffany’s parents officially divorced after she was born. Amongst all the changes, she is grateful she grew up with the parents she did. She did not see much of her biological father and although she did not spend much time with him, she was more considerate for his family. Tiffany was abused by her brother when she was 10 and moving to Washington was a way to start new. With her father strongly supporting her, Tiffany found solace through church and school activities Although Tiffany felt experiences of being alone or needing to feel loved, she is able to share that with others.  Tiffany shares her experience of having Jake and the dynamics of raising children. She shares her perspective in having Spencer being called as bishop and how she lives within that calling.  We should not have to live up to cultural norm expectations.  Tiffany talks about how we should focus more on following the Savior and not rules. She shares how she finds Christ in everyday life.

Tim Schalla being authentic no matter what.
From CA but lived in Tri Cities almost all his life. Tim has always loved his childhood including Transformers and others. During birth he suffered through brain damage and has had difficulty with a learning disability. Time was baptized in 2006. With being on different medications, one of the results were infertility. This lead to efforts towards adaption. Tim shares the struggle in how the adoption fell through. With not getting the adoption, both Tim and Donna’s faith was affected. Tim fell back into pornography but not stop cold turkey. Amongst imperfections, Tim learned how to be a better person every day. Tim shares his thoughts about what testimony is about and how being different has been a challenge unique to him. Tim starts to share what he has going on in his man cave He finds Christ in every day life by simply searching for Him. Tim shares his testimony in how he felt not only his Saviors love but his mothers too.

Meeting and knowing a sealer for the temple.
Rod grew up on a farm in California. The church at the time had big athletics. Rod played as as fast pitch softball and his team made it all the way to the championship. As he played, his bishopric member gave long lasting lessons that carried into his life. Rod served his mission in New Mexico and has kept up with speaking Spanish. Rod was so good that he was going to play with a Baltimore team. He had hard decisions to make and his prayers were answered as time went on. He loved physical education and majored in it during college. As much as he loved it, he had to figure out a career change He ended up finding his passion in Physical Therapy. Rod and Laura had Lisa. They were given advice to put her in a home due to having down syndrome. 6 kids later they feel that was the best decision to have in having more children. With having 5 kids in the first 6 years of marriage life became busy but found solace and being center with family home evenings and reading the Book of Mormon. He went back and forth between companies. He thoroughly enjoyed his last 20 years of his career working more in biomechanics. After 45 years of practice, he retired a few years ago. Rod shares his story about how they moved to Tri Cities and how a prompting was acted upon under a decade later. During his time in Tri Cities, he has had many callings including being a sealer. He describes his process of being called to a Sealer in the temple. He finds Christ in everyday life through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How Kristin Changed through 12 Step.
Kristin lived in a military family with her father in the US Marine Corps. She grew up in 29 Palms Marine Corps base. She shares insight in the value she learned growing up in the military lifestyle. Kristin moved to go to Rexburg but not for BYU-Idaho but for beauty school. Kristin went on a Mission to Richland VA. Through her mission, she ended up coming home for health issues. Kristin ended up in Las Vegas after her mission. During her time in Las Vegas Kristin worked herself into a salon. As she was building her salon cliental she found herself working into a law firm. She learned many lessons working in law. As Kristin was release early from her mission she experienced an extensive amount of guilt. She eventually stopped living in accordance of the Gospel but still went to church. Kristin met Cody while he was a missionary in Las Vegas. Her testimony was never lost during her time of inactivity of life style. Kristin shares how we can live and share love with those that are not living the Gospel. Kristin shares her personal struggle through recovery from abuse she experienced when she was little. Kristen shares insight about how to love others regardless of the life style they live. Some of the symptoms she experienced from her childhood abuse was masterbation. “Your addiction is the solution to your problem.” We can become addicts of success. Culturally we tend to be over emphasis roles that may not be ideal for some families.

A mother, an entrepreneur, and passionate individual. Welcome Carly Allred.
Carly is from Sandy Utah Carly started school as pre med but find out how she did not wanted to do that. She finished in public health and nutrition. She left for her mission, got married to Robby but never finished school. Carly and her sister opened an Etsy shop and started monetizing her craft. She took calligraphy and other classes which she enjoyed. Little by little she find herself building a business. She works more on Weddings and greeting cards today. Robby majored in psychology but was unable to find jobs. Due to having a hard time finding a job he landed a job in Safety which took their family in different states including New Mexico and Washington. Although they have been trying to move, they own two homes in the ward and they are unsure about future plans. With the start of hustling for her business Carly already had 4 kids at home. She’s noticed the “mom” and “dad” guilt come but the best remedy that has worked for her is: A father that is present Planning Carly’s cliental is not typically member’s of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but unwraps how and why that works. Carly shares her feelings about how we focusing on the Savior more enables us to become more like Him. This would help take our self imposed burdens off our shoulders.
