Speaking with a dragging out your last half of the worrrrdddd!
Could listen tooo, the young lady speakkk with the dragging out of her last word in every sentenncce! Sounds entitled and pompous. Not normally negative but that is a show dropper!

Remembering How To Take Care of the Land
If the country helps native people remember their knowledge, and ways of relating to their land, we all learn and benefit from it. This podcast is invaluable coming from the NPS itself. I look forward to more conversations like this.

Much I didn’t know
I love this podcast. It’s comforting to know that there is still something new to learn about the people that share this beautiful part of the world.

Not important but wrong symbol
The logo for the podcast is the US Forest Service which is in the Department of Agriculture. The symbol for the National Park Service in the Department of the Interior is an arrowhead.

Validation around what I already knew…
Great podcast! I’ve cried through all of them as I heard the stories of my relatives in different parts of the country where the beauty of the land before colonization was about respecting the land and all it provides… from food to medicine to a way of life governed by wild life and the seasons. I can’t wait for additional episodes. Simply beautiful to listen to tribal ancestral stories about the land we call home.

Hooked
One episode in and I’m hooked. I have always loved our National Parks and what they have offered me. It’s about time we learned about the darker history and we learned about the people who’s land was stolen to create these areas. I can’t wait for the rest of the season/ series to come out.

Indigenous Lives Matter!!!! Glad these white kids are going to promote that.
The articulation is good, sort of…. It appears that Mary has read The Atlantic article and maybe she will share ALL of her profits to buy all the National Parks and give them back to the First Nations!!!! A third rate, at least, idea.
Right on!

History of National Parks and a lot more
If the debut (Yellowstone) episode is any indication of where Parks is going, this will be a first-rate historical podcast based on a simple but brilliant concept: tell the history of a region, native and colonial people, even flora and fauna, through discussion of an individual national park. As you would expect, the Yellowstone episode outlines the history of treaties made and broken that led to the creation of the first US national park. But it also does two things: pulls back to look at the deep history of the whole region (via Shane Doyle's exploration of indigenous inhabitants since the Pleistocene), and zooms in to talk about personal connections to the park (via the stories of specific ancestors who lived there or were displaced, as well as the tribes in general).

This is a wonderful podcast with “interpretive” stories that are long overdue. The NPS should take notice of these engaging and truthful stories and incorporate them into their training as well. Congratulations on the launch of Parks !

Great story telling.
This is a fantastic podcast. The quality is tops and the content is really well done. If you love to know the truth about history, you will love this podcast. Worth a listen and worth a contribution to keep this kind of storytelling alive and well.

Awesome
Mary has always been a talented and articulate story teller - I can’t wait to watch this podcast take off. This topic is so important, Indigenous history is constantly facing erasure. Learning about and honoring Indigenous Land should be a must for everyone.

An Intimate Look At US National Parks
This concept is really interesting and makes for the perfect podcast layout with a broad topic that is separated into digestible pieces organized by each park. I love hearing personal stories from Indigenous communities in each area and am interested to see how American history has skipped over these important issues and how we can raise awareness of this topic and help in the future.
Engaging Listen
finally
this is the podcast we’ve needed! i’m excited to learn more about our nation’s history & our not so innocent relationship to our national parks.
