Wonderful resource!
Susan’s vast knowledge, experience, and connections to other helpful professionals are such helpful resources. I really appreciate her reminders to check in with ourselves in order to see the larger picture, and how she then guides toward improving communication and experiences with our children. Her way of communicating doesn’t leave me feeling judged, but rather seen and understood as just another parent struggling a bit and trying to do better. It is a safe space to learn and grow as a parent and there are always plenty of additional resources offered/mentioned. (Side note, her book is also excellent and one I keep going back to.)

Listening without struggles
It’s just not for me. I like engaging and fun podcasts or more informative in fact, maybe not so much biased opinions on things that aren’t connected to parenting (but they try to tie it together).

Lifesaver Podcast!!!
Wow! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for since I became a Mom. I want to parent differently that how I was raised, but have no guidebook for it. THIS IS IT!! It helps me to relax, make mistakes, take the pressure off myself and my kids and reset. Basically, it helps me to “be” and “be human”. Parenting isn’t always light and filled with rainbows! I do love that there is dialogue that is non-shaming. I trust these people. There are workshops and plenty of teachable chunks here. My review can only give 5 stars. This podcast is worth a whole galaxy of stars! 💗💙💗💙✨✨🙏🙏Thank you SO much!!

Dr Ruston’s Interview
The conversation with Dr Delaney Ruston was so great. Her advice applies to everyone, not only teens. She is so authentic and seems to really care about her message.

Highly recommend!!!
I’m so grateful I came across Susan Stiffelman‘s work. Her guidance through her monthly membership group has been invaluable and now having this extra dose of podcasts is even more of a gift!!! I recommend her to any parent in need of help along the journey of parenting. A lot of which can be re-parenting ourselves!

This podcast is a soft place to land after all the shame I lump on myself. I am really wanting to shift from a controlling to an empowering mindset in my parenting. It's a slow transition, but this show is a boost every time I get stuck in old ways. Thank you!

Saving my kids one podcast at a time
I, like many others feel lost and helpless at times on how to parent different personalities and behaviors and this podcast has helped me so much! I am parenting two boys one with ADD and one with ADHD and I too am blessed with ADD so the impulses in our home are REAL. This podcast has absolutely helped me slow down and process situations at a healthier rate so that I can teach, rather than lose myself or miss the opportunity for the teaching/growing experience that comes from issues that arise daily in our lives and homes. Thank you so much for all you do. 💛

Perfect episode at the perfect time
I am a graduate student working on finishing up the counseling program and brainstorming some projects I could do at my internship site. One thing I noticed so far into the school year is how difficult the changes are on the students and how much tougher it is on the parents. We have received a number of calls from the parents, some are asking for guidance and others are telling us how they are praying for our wellbeing because they understand how tough our jobs are as educators. I was actually brainstorming setting up some support services for parents and this episode provided me with some great resources, thank you!

A Parental Must For Growth
I have been listening to this podcast every morning (working my way through the archives as well). I love the insights and information from both the host and the guests. I’ve been able to take notes and practically apply many new techniques to make me a better parent.

Life changing for a young mom
As a young, first time mom I went into parenting very unequipped with very important life lessons that mothers of later ages have had the chance to learn. My first daughter is almost 3 now and I am 21, for the past year I have been exploring the idea of “gentle parenting”. I immediately knew that the form of discipline that my fiancé and I had been using (spanking) was very damaging in so many ways, I felt extreme guilt and knew I had to change and that change had to happen now. It took me a lot of convincing to get my fiancé to try not spanking. I had so many more mess ups after I initially learned that spanking is abuse, bottom line. I’d get so frustrated that is yell, cry, do timeout for situations that could be handled much more effectively, etc.. it wasn’t until I had a life changing experience when I first read an article, written by this women, that I felt like I actually have complete control over the situation with my response. I also felt like I finally had someone who could walk me through the tantrums and reassure me that what I’m doing is so much healthier, I needed that so badly. After that first article I immediately downloaded a podcast app and followed this women. Now I’ve deleted all social media and I only listen to podcasts, this has changed my life so much. I am so thankful for the time that this women takes to help other parents who are trying to move towards a better form of parenting. This women has been absolutely life changing for my family.

Susan+Hand In Hand & Lansbury=Great
This podcast is great for parents who like to dig deep on behavioral science and child development. It dissects every avenue of parenting—from tantrum to technology. But much of the tactical advice parents often need or crave is thin in Susan’s podcast and general approach. Susan’s work is best when coupled with the playbooks that Lansbury and non-profit Hand in Hand Parenting provide.

Susan is such a gift to parents, children, and the world!
Susan’s work has been so valuable to me and my family. It is the go-to parenting support I return to on a regular basis. In her work, I have found a parenting style and philosophy that feels 100% in alignment with my own personal values and intuition about parenting. I’ve read both of her books, Parenting Without Power Struggles and Parenting with Presence many times. I use them like reference books, referring back to them from time to time when things feel either unbalanced or rough. They are always so helpful and tend to help me reset the balance in the household. This podcast is great! It supports the material in her books and rounds it out with industry authors, speakers, and experts who align with her philosophy. I look forward to it each week and am filled with gratitude each time I listen. I love her calm and present demeanor and the quality of being she exudes. I love her authentic embodiment of non-judgment and how she truly cherishes children, and all people, for who they innately are. I love the guests she invites and the conversations they have. All of it is so supportive and enriching on so many levels, which extends far beyond parenting. Thanks so much Susan! We are very grateful!

Be the Captain!
I absolutely love this podcast. As a parent recently committed to emotionally focused therapy in both my parenting and my role as a spouse, Susan’s wisdom is like the cool breeze on a hot summer day. I love her simple and memorable analogies which remind me to be the captain of the ship that my kids need me to be! Great podcast. I can’t get enough.

This podcast is fantastic! As much as I got out of the book, the podcast provides a deeper dive into what it looks like to be the calm, confident ‘captain of the ship’.

Jewels of wisdom for parents
This podcast immediately helped me find a new approach to working with my children’s emotions as well as the tools and the understanding on how to deal with the day to day challenges we all face as parents. How to keep calm and help our children weather the different storms of their emotions as they grown and experience new things, this podcast is invaluable. Susan Stiffelman’s voice is a pleasure to listen to as well. I look forward to next episode!

Only suggestion I have is that the show notes should include all the info mentioned in the podcast. Like website links and resources Mamés. Etc.

Love, love, love!!! A must!!!
This is a must listen to for any parent, grandparent, caregiver, anyone that has any relationship with children truly. I read Susan’s books a while ago, as well as numerous other parenting books. They all focused more on positive parenting and positive discipline. Susan makes things so easy to understand and relatable that you can put what she says into practice. I truly feel countless people and parents could benefit from listening to her podcasts and reading her writings. I promise you it will be time well spent for a child. I hope she has a Facebook group too where people could interact and ask questions. Thank you for taking the time to do this. Note - I will edit this more as I finish listening to the rest of the podcasts 😊
