Funny, accessible
Fun show. Enjoying the humor. Easily accessible and keeps focus pretty well. Enjoyable to see the bond between the two characters developing. Nice way to humanize the issues surrounding mental health.

I found this podcast about a year ago and I fell in love with it. The writing is beautiful. The way Javier’s mental health is written is accurate to real experiences. Cher is undoubtedly funny. Javier’s friendship with cher is amazing. And even though this was made three years ago I still hold hope in my heart this series will continue. I love parasitecology

This is GENIUS!
Really complex themes and issues are explored which such a brilliant comedic whimsy. The writing is so on point and Rob and Alan bring the same energy they have on Interrupted Tales to this great sci-fi thriller. I only wish there were more. Even as a one-shot this is as perfect as content gets. Listen, and then listen again. It's worth it.

Highly original and entertaining
Alan and Rob of Interrupted Tales fame have done it again- they've made another terrific podcast utilizing their talents for storytelling and humor. If you're a fan of sci-fi, comedy, audio dramas, or just a unique view on the human condition, give Parasitecology a try!

Fantastic!
Just binge-listened to this whole thing in a week. This is what sci-fi should aspire to, this is what comedy should asipre to, this is what audio drama should aspire to. An ingenious but simple premise with twists and turns that always leaves you wanting more, and two compelling, broken and thoroughly likeable characters. All while exporing (but never hitting you over the head with) issues like depression and suicide. Well done, Alan and Rob!

This show is BRILLIANT!
Rob and Alan have made an utterly masterful audio drama with Parasitecology. Cher and Javier are two well-realized characters and the playful banter of their dialogue is fantastic. I love simple conventions such as Javier in his head hearing Cher talk to people in the outside world, the fun sound effects and production work and excellent music, and the whip-smart dialogue between the two. I'm immersed so deeply in this world and so eager for each and every episode. Please check out this amazing show. You will NOT regret it.

all the good things
Great writing, vocal performances, and sound engineering aside, this show operates like a parasite (in a good way): you're buzzing along and suddenly you're infected with Cher. You want Javi to get to a place where he's not talking to a brain parasite and is decently happy at work. You want to know how to get a hold of the music from the strip club. You want to know what happened to Jar, the host before Javi. But it's not just all jokes and drunken office parties, there's an emotional depth here that runs under the main narrative. Really well done!!

Cher is bae!
Parasitecology appears at first to be a lighthearted, clever comedy, and then builds layers upon layers! As someone who has struggled with depression in the past, I'm thoroughly impressed with the writers' ability to build upon an adorable science fiction concept and make it touching, even heart-wrenching in places. I'd recommend this to fans of unapologetic television shows like Big Mouth and BoJack Horseman, or if you're generally looking for a bright, descriptive intellectual comedy with beats of realism. This audiodrama has started out so well, and I'm beyond excited to see where it goes!

Listen to this show.
It’s honest-to-gawd delightful. Off-beat, quirky, witty, fun! Who knew an alien body-controlling mind parasite could be so appealing?
