Have you ever tried to walk in the shoes of your clients who are non- or minimally verbal? How can trying to walk in their shoes reframe the way you provide your therapy supports? What would you want someone to do for you?

There's been a lot of discussion about diversity, equity, and inclusion in the news and in therapist-related publications. We do need to consider our larger practices as far as DEI is concerned. However, when working with individuals with complex communication needs, we also need to make sure we're including our clients in their own lives. Join me in imagining what your life would be like if you were an 8-year old AAC user with a rare genetic disorder. Are you being included in your own life?
