After attending an in person Outlander event in Seattle, I just learned about this podcast. Feeling a bit bummed today thank you for the laughs. Thank you especially for the sounds and noises. What is it about men that makes it so easy for you to create the funny sounds?! Lol. Thank you!

Great for getting to know two of our favorite characters as real life people (I know right!?! I also had no clue they had lives outside of Outlander). They interview and talk to the cast and crew, and get to know each one outside of the Outlander world. It’s the fun things, without the boring droning that you usually hear. Can’t wait for season 2!

I was a little late listening to this podcast, but gave it a try commuting to work in San Diego and I laughed more than I have in a while. David and Tim are hilarious!! It’s been really fun learning more about the acting and behind the scenes professions as well as the background of many of the Outlander cast and crew. I especially enjoyed Lauren Lyle, who seems like a person I’d love to hang out with. Thanks for keeping us smiling during such a depressing time and thanks for NOT talking about the dreaded “C” word. Thank you both for helping me get through pandemic lockdown last year. I’ve decided to re-listen to it and even though I’d heard it before, I’m still laughing out loud. Please tell me that you will come up with Season 2.

This is, hands down, one of my favorite podcasts. Every episode has me laughing out loud. The two of them together are brilliant, and if you’re an Outlander fan, hearing each guest do a scene reading with Tim and David is awesome and hilarious. There were a couple of pods that I didn't think I’d be interested in, and they were actually some of my favorites. It’s a shame this is the first, last and only podcast they will make. Binged it while working two ten hour days. You will love it!

Laughing out loud to you two absolutely butchering a scots accent and so kindly ushering your guests and listeners through a bit of outlander life- hope to have more in future- Thankyou so much Ps your and your guests insights give such a depth not usually received to the world of making a show- and as far as outlander goes really highlights how it is everyone who is an integral part to the show. I always have loved all the various ‘minor’ actors and it is they who give it the richness it has, the leads are, well, the leads but the rest of you are their clothes, their atmosphere, and the richness of the production.

Not sure how I’ve missed this podcast but thankful for it. You are natural presenters and interviewers, and present the job/acting tidbits in a hilarious way. Please keep making these ❤️👍🙏🏼

I just adored David and Tim talking “ shop”. They have such good insights into the process of being an actor and have such fun revealing them. We can’t help laugh with them at their “ nailing” new roles. I do hope when they have time that they will do another season.

This is my all time favorite podcast for fun! I love Tim Downey’s dry sense of humor and the chemistry between Tim and David Barry. The scene re-reads playing different characters is hilarious for Outlander lovers. I highly recommend this podcast that does not take itself too seriously.

I recently stumbled upon this podcast and it is so funny. I love the banter between Tim and David and it is a great cure for the dreaded Droughtlander! Keep at it!

I had no idea you guys are so funny! I just adore the scene readings and Tim’s Scottish accent playing Jamie. If an animated version/ parody of Outlander ever happens no one else should get the Jamie part but you! Your sense of humor cracks me up. I hope to see more of both of you in season 6! :)

I recently entered the Outlander world and came upon “Outcast”. What a gem!!! I do hope David and Tim continue with another series! I absolutely love the replay of scenes at the beginning of each episode. So interesting to hear other takes (and other actors playing the roles.) So far, my favorite is Richard Rankin’s!

This podcast will scratch that festering itch. The hosts are charming, witty, and ask insightful questions of their guests. Also, the fact that they are actors in the series helps immensely to satisfy your hunger for more Outlander. {And there’s no shame in binging the podcast as you binged the series.} I dinna ken a better way to spend me time.

Hi Tim and David, I’ve just finished listening to Season 1. I really enjoyed most of your episodes, especially the mixture of reading scenes, silly humor, and incredibly insightful questions posed to diverse guests. The last episode with Sam was a pretty disappointing. I understand this episode had to be recorded twice because the first version was lost. Nevertheless, it felt like a farce. It was almost as if I felt you were making fun of listeners who wanted to hear some attempt at acting. I have no problem with the aside comments and humor during read scenes, but this was like listening to juvenile boys. Even more disappointing afterward, was that David and Tim pretty much stopped interviewing Sam. It was just a lot of small talk that left me with the impression that Sam is a good actor but not someone with a lot of depth or is insecure about being seriously interviewed. That’s really too bad, because I admire all the cast and the show very much. Sorry to be critical but it wasn’t the treat at the end of the season your work up to that point led me to hope for and expect.

You guys are soooo funny! Loved Sam on this one as well. Well done and look forward to your Upcoming podcasts !

Tim is very very clever and funny. I really like the set craft services breakfast question as an opener. David is such a heartfelt and thoughtful interviewer. He asks really thought provoking questions and they aren’t only about Outlander as a series, acting, or ‘inside the show’ (which in my opinion would get boring). He asks questions that cause pause - (yes. I rhymed) reflection, and introspection. He asks the cast members and people involved about not only acting technique and choices, but about why they all make art, what is the driving force of being an artist, a performer. As a dancer/dance maker, I really appreciate it. Thanks guys!

If you are a fan of Outlander you should definitely listen to this podcast. I loved the little tidbits about the craft of acting. As a fellow creative person it’s always fascinating to learn how the creative process works in others. Yes, we all struggle with fear and self-doubt, but we just have to carry-on with what we love, don’t we? Thanks for all the dry and self deprecating humor, and all the behind-the-scenes peeks.

Never laughed out loud at a podcast so much! The hosts are hilarious and they bring out the hijinks and mischief of their guests and costars while dealing out a few behind the scenes tidbits.

Tim & David are a duo I didn’t know needed to exist! If you are looking for something interesting this is full of tasteful dialogue as they bounce off each other. I am only half way through the first season right now and the episode with John Bell is my favorite yet! It was great to hear about his background as an actor in conjunction with Young Ian’s background this last season. Thank you for creating this GEM for fans to enjoy xx

Being an Outlander book and show fan, I have seen probably every YouTube interview etc. and finally having the time to listen to these webcasts has been an absolute joy. The length of the interviews is amazing and one really gets to know these cast members and others involved in the show in a way no other platform has been able to achieve. From how each actor, director, writer approaches their craft to fun tidbits about each, you two have created such a fun show. Thanks to you both and can’t wait for S6!

Just listened to my first episode - Maria Doyle Kennedy - and thoroughly enjoyed it! What a pleasure to hear her express her love and passion for music. As a singer/musician & sound engineer, I am endlessly fascinated not only by the art of storytelling, but also by the often obsessive way in which artists approach their craft. We are all storytellers - it’s in our most ancient human DNA, but people who find they HAVE to do it are a unique and eternally interesting breed to me. I enjoyed hearing about Maria’s keen observational skills and how she applies them to acting. I loved her in The Tudors & Downton Abbey (she played such a terrific villain) and she is great in Outlander. In these days of great peril for the performing arts communities, this hour spent listening to why it matters was like a salve for the soul. Thank you both (and Maria!) for letting us listen in on your conversation and for sharing the song at the end; it was just delightful. Cheers to David & Tim and to many more episodes.

Listening these 3 ricochet from ridiculous 6 yr old boys to truly interesting men in this conversation was a scream. One of the best episodes in S1 of the Outcast Podcast. It’s be great for them wrap up each series with Sam, and try to exceed the truly silliness each time.

The “scene read” is the best idea for a podcast. I can spend hours working in my garden, listening to these guys talk about acting with guests from Outlander. Listening to the accents is pure dessert. I wish we could watch these episodes on YouTube. Thank you so much for doing this, Tim and David.
