Why hello everyone and welcome to this week’s episode of Orange Juice Optional!
In today’s episode, Suzanne, Michelle and their mutual friend, Christie Campagna, talk about the Coronation of King Charles III. Suzanne has a lot to share on this monumental day. From the expected pomp & circumstance, to a ceremony built on tradition, the ladies talk about the Royal Family and their lifelong commitment to service a Nation. Of course before this discussion concludes, Michelle can’t help herself and brings up the controversial “H” word. Surprisingly, Suzanne isn’t the only one to react to it today.
Then, the conversation moves on to some unplanned events in history. World stage events that were so shocking, unexpected and reactive that the ladies recall exactly where they were in their own lives when these events happened.
As the episode comes to a conclusion, Michelle has a couple reminders for the listeners. First, Michelle talks about this month’s May basket giveaway - (aka) “The 10K giveaway in May”. She then reminds everyone, Suzanne and Christie include, that “Homecoming” by Kate Morton is the book they are reading in May. Suzanne then closes this week’s episode with “Something to Sip on”. Enjoy & until next week…Cheers!!

In today’s episode, with Suzanne away, Michelle has invited their mutual friend, Kristina Woolston, to step in as her co-host. As these long time friends excitedly catch up on life, their conversation flows with ease as they discuss the wins and challenges of being a parent, a bonus parent…and so much more.
Then, the ladies talk about this month’s May giveaway - (aka) “The 10K giveaway in May”. After Kristina asks a question about the prize, Michelle quickly clarifies that this contest is for a gift basket - and not $10K. She then reminds everyone, that the “10K” in this giveaway represents the milestone number of downloads they have achieved.
As the episode draws to a conclusion, Michelle reminds the listeners that “Homecoming” by Kate Morton is the book that they are reading in May. Kristina then closes out this episode with beautiful words of wisdom. This week’s “Something to Sip on” was inspired by words her mom shared with her growing up. A great tribute to mom’s everywhere.
From all of us at OJO, we are wishing all the mom’s out there a very Happy Mothers Day. Until next week…cheers!

In this week’s episode Suzanne and Michelle talk about their “nursemaid” skills when it comes to helping a loved one recover from being sick. Both ladies agree that they wouldn’t be receiving an “A” in this category.
To encourage their own growth and compassion in this area, Michelle shares an article that she found on how to care for a sick spouse. Just as Michelle expected, Suzanne had a lot to say about the suggestions made.
Moving on from there, the ladies then discuss a trend called “Living Apart Together” or “LAT”. Listen in as they discuss what it is, and the pros and cons of it all.
In closing, Michelle quickly shares that the book being read in April is “All Good People Here” by Ashley Flowers. That reminder is then followed by this week’s ‘Something to Sip on’. Why hello everyone and welcome to Orange Juice Optional! In this week’s episode, Suzanne and Michelle are excited to talk about their recent trip to Las Vegas.
As this episode begins, the ladies update the listeners on the video scavenger hunt they did while in Vegas! Did any of you happen to see the video on social media? If not, go check it out!! They happily share that in addition to several honorable mentions, they successfully found 15 out of 18 of the personalities they were looking for.
Moving on from there, Suzanne and Michelle then recap random Vegas experiences and March Madness. Of course, before the end of this episode, Suzanne will also share her love of slot machines. Especially, the “Sex and the city” slot machine. During this trip, she even developed a theory about the bonding effect of slot machines. She’ll share her thoughts here first.
Michelle then introduces the Book that they will be reading in April. For all the true crime lovers out there, “All Good People Here” is the selection. This is a fictional book, with a non-fictional element. It was written by Ashley Flowers. Ashley is the podcast host of ‘Crime Junkies’ (and many other podcasts). She is also an executive producer for the podcast network “Audio Chuck”. Ashley is an accomplished story teller, and we are all in for a suspenseful read.

Episode Notes
Why hello everyone and welcome to Orange Juice Optional! In this week’s episode, Suzanne and Michelle are excited to talk about March’s book of the Month, “Someone Else’s Shoes” by JoJo Moyes.
As this episode begins, the ladies talk about an uncomfortable experience that Michelle witnessed while dining with her husband. While at dinner, Michelle heard the woman sitting next to her make passive aggressive comments towards another woman. Michelle asked Suzanne if that passive aggressive behavior would also fall into the category of ‘having a “Karen” moment’? As the ladies talk about this situation, the conversation quickly turns into female empowerment and becomes the ideal bridge into discussing “Someone Else’s Shoes”.
The ladies then have an inspired conversation about “Someone Else’s Shoes”. After an accidental mix up at the gym, this wonderfully written book steps into exploring some major life themes. These life themes include (but are not limited to): the importance of friendship, female empowerment, self respect, finding yourself and using your voice. This was an enjoyable read with identifiable characters. As always, the ladies are eager to discuss their reactions and take aways with each other and the listeners.
As the episode comes to an end, they will leave the listeners with an inspirational quote that they like to call ‘Something to Sip on’. Hold onto the quote! Think about it & savor it…Until next week…Cheers!!
