చిత్తూరు నాగయ్య (మార్చి 28, 1904 - డిసెంబరు 30, 1973) ప్రసిద్ధ తెలుగు సినిమా నటుడు, సంగీతకర్త, గాయకుడు, దర్శకుడు, నిర్మాత. అతను ధరించిన పోతన, త్యాగయ్య, వేమన, రామదాసు వంటి అనేక పాత్రలు బహుళ ప్రజాదరణ పొందాయి. దక్షిణభారతదేశంలో పద్మశ్రీ పురస్కారం పొందిన తొలినటుడు నాగయ్య. 336 కి పైగా సినిమాల్లో నటించాడు. 1938 లో వచ్చిన గృహలక్ష్మి చిత్రంతో అతను సినీ రంగ ప్రస్థానం ప్రారంభమైంది. 1939లో స్థాపించబడిన వాహినీ స్టూడియోస్ తరపున నాగయ్య పలు సినిమాలకు వివిధ విభాగాల్లో పనిచేశాడు. తర్వాత తానే రేణుకా ఫిల్మ్స్ అనే పేరుతో స్వంతంగా నిర్మాణ సంస్థ ప్రారంభించి సినిమాలు రూపొందించాడు. తెలుగు, తమిళ భాషల్లో ప్రముఖ నటుడిగా పేరు గాంచాడు. మహారాజుల దగ్గరా, విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల్లోనూ, ప్రభుత్వంలో ఉన్నతాధికారుల దగ్గరా నాగయ్యకు విశేష గౌరవాలు లభించాయి.
