Too much"like" and "you know "
I'm a new listener trying to enjoy your podcast but it is difficult to listen to because of the repeated use of the words "like" and "you know". Please try to formulate your thoughts before speaking or just pause to collect your thoughts.
So….
Such an awesome dynamic!
This 👏🏾 show 👏🏾 James and Cher are a great team and listening in is too much fun. Definitely give it a listen.

Tremendous flow, wonderful conversation!
Have only listened to one episode, but I’m already hooked! Cher and James do a fantastic job balancing topics and having great conversations. So much wonderful material is covered in a short time. You’ve got a new listener, I’m 100% on board!

Best pop culture conversations on iTunes
Cher and James never strain to be hip and smart and geeky as they explore culture and deconstruct academic speak, race, and Chicago (Love open mic and open call) with fascinating guests. If you are turned off by pop culture podcasts that strain to be hip (three white casters are never hip, even if one is queer and one is a woman), try Open Ended. Also, and this is the best part, James and Cher are hilarious.

A different look at tech
This is a very refreshing tech podcasts that offers a different perspective than the standard. Trust me, I listen to tech podcasts more than any other category, and I have tried a lot of them on for size. Add to the perspective, the cool guests, the great segments, and you have yourself a technology show that is a cut above the rest. Close the loop, and put this on your playlist!

Grateful for this podcast
Genuine, relatable, positive and sometimes heart warming. The hosts do this out of love and the need for this kind of podcast being out there. I greatly respect and what they do with this. They play with the format all the time and never rely on what a podcast is supposed to be or sound like. They don’t shy away from being frank about speaking from their experiences. I’m grateful for this podcast and would recommend to anyone who wants to hear about people’s amazing side hustles, design, and technology.

Great chemistry makes a great show.
I’ve loved to hearing the evolution of this show, from the humble beginnings of James and Cher talking into iPhone headsets, to them having the much more refined audio we hear now. What hasn’t changed, though, and why I really dig this show, is the chemistry between the two of them, as well as their guests. Regardless of the topic being discussed, the obvious connection is obvious, which makes each episode engaging. You should listen to this.

Bless this podcast
Sometimes the design industry feels a little unintentionally competitive. Despite everyone’s unique tastes & skills, it can be hard to talk openly about the challenges and rewards of your early career without appearing self-depreciating/congratulatory. Open Ended breaks though that glossy sheen of professionalism to get real about making work and embracing the possibilities of evolving technology.

Hard to define but that’s why I like it!
The most recent episode, The Human Element, is almost more performance than story. A kind and thoughtful contemporary reflection on loss in the time of the internet.
