The childcare benefit scandal or 'toeslagenaffaire' has left its mark on the entire Dutch population. But do we actually talk enough with the disadvantaged parents instead of about them? We talk with Batya Brown (35) and Nassima Elidrissi (41) about their specific positions as women of colour in the scandal that revealed institutional racism within the Dutch tax authorities.
