Dr. Nyarko is a tenured Professor at Morgan State University, where he directs the Center for Equitable Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Systems (CEAMLS) and the Data Engineering and Predictive Analytics (DEPA) Research Lab. With over 25 years of experience in intelligent and autonomous systems, he has made significant contributions to machine learning architectures, computer vision, and knowledge discovery.
During the interview, we explore the evolving landscape of digital citizenship alongside advancements in AI and machine learning. Dr. Nyarko highlights the potential for AI to promote equity in schools and discusses how educators can teach students the necessary skills to navigate the rapidly evolving AI technologies while ensuring their safety and privacy.
