I'm Pretty Much Sick Of Everything

David Byrne said he considers the gretest singers to be the ones that he believes. Anyone who is in the same room while David Newbould is singing (or even talking for that matter) knows he's singing or telling the truth. Until there's an app to inform us who is and who is not, we can simply use Newbold's songs and voice as where the bar is set. Oh and Springsteen and Dylan too.

She went to Paul McCartney's Music School in Liverpool. She can rhyme her last name like it's noone's business. She's as smart as Steve Poltz and she doesn't seem entirely annoyed by me. We love her! Buckle up buttercups, we're goin' in.

I (Scot, here) have sound-person-fear. That's a thing, right? Unless they're super nice, helpful and, dare I say, respectful. Kendall Allard is all of these. She's as pleasant to be around as she is extremely knowledgeable about all things music and sound. She's been touring with artist SINCLAIR, supporting Kacey Musgraves! That's the big time folks, in case you didn't know. And you gotta know your shit if they let you behind one of those fancy big city consoles, yo. From Detroit (how rock and roll is that?) Kendall learned some from Berklee and probably even more in the hard knock Boston club circuit. If ever the saying "when one door closes another door opens" was appropriate it is now, for Maya de Vitry. For the last few years Maya was one of the voice and songwriters of The Stray Birds, a band who were impossible to not be in drawn to. There was something about the sound, the name, the songs, the work ethic. But mostly, you couldn't help but want to know more about THAT VOICE. That voice was and is Maya's. She sounds like no other. All chills and no frills. Due to Mr. Poltz' devotion to keep the universe properly entertained via his tireless touring, it's been a minute since we've recorded a new podcast. But once he heard Annika's "Boy Who Has Everything" on Spotify we got the girl and pressed record. Some writer/performer's magic creeps up on you. You see them one or two times and you're not sure and then...boom. Not so with Amelia White. I saw her perform and "boom" is what happened right away. What I waited for was the boom to drop. It hasn't yet. Her words are like a smart person and her chords are like their stylish clothes. What else could you ask for?
