22. It’s Not too Late to Have What You Always Wanted
Today let’s talk about the things we’ve always wanted to do, the dreams deferred and feeling like the journey may not lead you back there. It absolutely can. I’m sharing my wins from the past couple weeks since the book launch and how I manifested nearly everything that has happened. From #1 New Release, Best Seller, over 40 reviews, two tv shows etc. It truly all began with belief, speaking it over and over and then journaling out as if it were already so. Thanks to Rachel Luna teaching us her Faith Activated Journaling method in episode 21 because that’s what I’ve been using to manifest these things. It’s been very rewarding and only the beginning but that doesn’t mean I don’t still face doubt. In this episode I wanted to share with you a few quotes I found that resonated with me. Like the one from Morgan Harper Nichols that says, “You belong on this journey as much as anyone else.” This is why we must not get lost in comparison but instead own our journeys for what they are for us. I hope you find inspiration in today’s episode. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/onthisjourney/support

18. Journeying Through a Chronic Illness Diagnosis with Whitney West
Whitney West became a Chronic Illness Advocate after being diagnosed with a rare condition in 2014 that nearly took her life and left her in debt. She has since been on a journey to live the life she desires, eliminating her debt and refusing to allow her illness to stop her to achieve any goals she has. It may look different but Whitney declares her dreams are still possible. What many may not realize is that a chronic illness is any condition that lasts three or more months. For example, migraines is a chronic illness. In today's episode Whitney provides great insight and new perspective on how to handle a chronic illness diagnosis and how to live a beautiful life beyond the diagnosis. "Life is so much more beautiful when you almost lose it." - Whitney West 3 Key Takeaways for handling a diagnosis: 1) Breathe. Take a deep breath and sit with yourself to allow yourself to process the information you were given. 2) Understand and accept where you are so that you can truly begin the process of moving forward. You can't skip steps. 3) Our words have power, don't talk negatively about or against your body. Team up with your body to fight your illness, 2 vs 1. 14. The Full Throttle Approach, In Honor of Allen "AP" Powell
In this solo episode I wanted to take space and time to honor my little brother, Allen "AP" Powell who passed away four years ago today, very unexpectedly and tragically. Since then I have referred to his approach to life and everything he did as, 'full throttle" and his life has inspired me to adapt that approach for myself. Full Throttle is defined as being done with great speed and enthusiasm. For me full throttle also means being locked in, going all in, being committed, taking risks and giving maximum effort. Looking eye to eye with fear and doing the thing anyway, is the full throttle approach and the Allen Powell way. I've had a lot of anxiety leading up to this point, so in order to turn a usually dark day into one of peace and joy I have broken down how to shift into a full throttle mindset and gave clear examples how I've done that in my own life, including with this podcast. I hope you can draw inspiration from this episode as well. Connect with me more on Instagram. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/onthisjourney/support

13. Growing an Intentional and Present Life with Plants w/ Chloe Beach
Chloe Beach of PlantsbyChlo.com came on the show and gave very useful tips on entering a plant journey with ease an lessening the overwhelm but then she went much deeper. Chloe took us on her self-discovery and spirituality journey and the connection her plant journey has had in that. Growing up around plants it makes sense that as Chloe began to build a life with her now fiancé she's naturally start welcoming green life into their home. What Chloe didn't expect is that her plant journey would lead her to digging into her own ancestral roots as well as unraveling and working through trauma. She could not have foreseen how it would not only strengthen her life but truly change her life.  My favorite quotes from this conversation with Chloe are: "God is always talking, its whether or not you're listening and paying attention." "Being present is a luxury and having plants allows you to live in that luxury a little more often."
