I thought I did review this pod but realized instead that I just fangirled to Amber over how absolutely useful it has been in REBUILDING my life. TLDR: Dad got sick, I lost my job, moved in with parents in late 30s to help them, finally got a great job and have used all of these episodes to rebuild my perspective about wealth, status and money. I fell so in love with how relevant and also inspiring this show was. I went back to the deep cuts and just listened from the beginning some days. I’m now in my new home and continue to follow her pearls of wisdom. I feel like she’s meant to be in my life and has such a similar soul… Amber & Old Money have added value to my life and my TIME. I discovered the Old Money podcast last year when I was doubling down on building my wealth and increasing my business revenue. I’ll be honest; when I first tuned in I was incredibly triggered by the podcast topics and the way that Amber approached money-talk with such confidence and expertise. I knew that being triggered was a me thing so I did some journaling and realized that there was a part of me that didn’t feel like I had the skills to do this and that I was so behind to begin with that this wasn’t actually possible for me at my ripe age of 39. This year I committed to changing my mindset to take steps through the lens of my future self (Rich, successful, and at ease with money!) and felt the nudge to give this pod another go. I started from the pilot and have been binging through episodes in the order they were released. It’s been about 2 weeks and I have taken soooo many helpful notes and have drafted up a budget based on her end of year 2024 Budgeting episode. Honestly, I’m so inspired and motivated now. It just goes to show how sometimes we'll resist what we really need to hear.
