The 5th Annual Get Western Challenge is scheduled for Aug 9th is coming back to Hutchinson, KS. Registration opens at 7:00am and Shooter meeting at 8:00am. Heats start on the range at 8:30am! This event is designed to test your physicality and prepare you for western hunting scenarios. Archers can expect to walk between 2.25 and 3.5 miles with various obstacles designed to test your mettle with a bow in hand. Registration is $50 and they are giving away a fantastic selection of prizes. Cash payouts for 1st through 3rd place and items from elk calls, yeti coolers, SHOT 3Dx day passes and everything else you need to conquer the mountain. There is only 1 class of competitors but if we have 5 women in attendance there will be a special prize drawing amongst the ladies. Jack Wallace II is fresh off a win at the most recent stop on the ASA Pro/Am Tour. Shooting in the Senior Pro division Jack entered the shootdown needing to make up a 4 point deficit to take the win and he did just that! He is the winner of 4 of the last 5 Pro/Ams and has consistently been at the top of his game. We talked with Jack about how he rediscovered "his" shot and the tuning process behind making the bow as forgiving as possible.
