I really appreciate this show, which breaks things down in a very friendly way. I do find the production hit-or-miss, sometimes in ways that prevent my listening to the episode. While this is annoying, I appreciate the show very much.

I like how Lily takes one topic and goes into more depth on the question than a typical financial podcast. Take the episode about seeking housing with poor credit. She went through numerous scenarios, explained they whys behind housing and a credit score and gave an extensive list of alternatives that can help people find housing.

This podcast has helped me stop feeling so overwhelmed! I might not fully understand my finances yet, but I don't feel like it's too scary to even look at. The cheerful tone of this show helps me stay grounded when I'm uncertain.

This is a cleanly produced show targeted to those getting their personal finances established. (Look elsewhere for backstory Roth conversions and RSU strategies!) Episodes regularly link to good valuable resources.

This podcast is perfect. It’s honestly my favorite across genres, plus the only Personal Finance show i’ve ever been able to find that *actually* has advice applying to a wide variety of people on the financial spectrum- Lillian breaks things down for poor/working class people, and everyone else, expertly, in a easily digestible way that’s never condescending. I am really grateful for OMD’s existence, it has taught me so much, and I tell anyone I know who is interested in getting their financial life under control to start here. My only complaint is that there’s not infinite episodes!!
