On this episode, we talk SIR THOMAS MORE! Humanist, lawyer, statesmen, philosopher, revolutionary thinker, lord chancellor, author of Utopia (that book Drew Barrymore has in the movie Ever After!) and at one point King Henry the 8th's close intimate and right hand man. This is a very divided character in history… Is he a mad, persecuting religious fanatic, obsessed with burning heretics at the stake? Is he a deeply committed monk like figure? Is he a stubborn Martyr? Thomas More shared in the prejudices of his age and was complicit in practices that we today would regard as morally atrocious.
