My husband and I really enjoy listening to these podcasts on the road. We enjoy the different aspects Pastors Ron, Tom, and Josh, and Vince add to the topics. Keep it up! Love hearing about other relevant topics not discussed from behind the pulpit.

Thank you guys for listening to God. Tough topics were being discussed and I greatly appreciate the honesty, transparency, and vulnerability.
Just a little background on me for us to be level. I grew up believing that there was something more out there. You could say I was agnostic (just not really sure if God was real or really sure what to believe) and I based this belief off of others peoples walk with a so called God. When the people that said God is real and went to church and prayed before meals and talked worship hurt me I would say to myself, “ if that’s who God is or what Jesus is about I want nothing to do with it”. Now full disclosure I used those hurts as an excuse to numb my pain for a long time being led into darkness by believing lies. Some lies were passed down to me through my parents like I inherited them and other lies were lies I told myself to survive (survival lies). I began to smoke weed and drink and age 14. That led to parties and different drugs. The sin was fun at first and then weed and alcohol weren’t strong enough to the the pain I was causing in my life and those around me. So I started using ecstasy and cocaine around 17 and eventually tried meth at 19. From that time of using meth I was changed dramatically.
I thought different than I ever had. My morals and values were gone and I would do whatever I needed to do to get more.
I don’t want to go off on a crazy tangent and I know that this is supposed to be a review of the podcast but it’s all connected just as we are all are connected.
I was saved by the raw supernatural power of God in 2013 in Downtown Portland, OR. I had a demon removed from my body and all I was asked is if I believe.
To be honest I mess up everyday and have messed up everyday since walking with God. I’ve even ran from Him and have seen him waiting for me at my destination. I’ve even in my anger and sadness cursed God just watch Him never leave me or forsake.
To get back to the review. The topic of faith came up. Where does our faith come from was asked. Where is it strengthened? Faith is a gift was said as well.
Our faith is from Jesus. Hebrews 12
Faith comes by hearing
When God called from the burning bush Moses to lead the people out of slavery he came up with every reason to not go. But God had a response to Moses’ shortcomings and fear.
That conversation between God and Moses can teach us about the faith that God requires. It is often said that next to faith God requires obedience but in my walk with God and upon listening to Holy Spirit they are one in the same and are strengthened by each other.
Suppose God asks you to go and get in the car and drive with no destination. He’s asking us to walk by faith( or drive by faith).
But in the same command if we take that first step to grab the keys we are also exercising obedience or being obedient.
We don’t know where we are going but we trust him because of his track record. We know that He alone is good through the WORD because it’s alive and active and because of our testimonies of His Goodness in our lives. These experiences are what strengthen and refine our faith. Some steps of faith are scary and we don’t want to take them because we can’t see the outcome. But if we wish to truly follow Jesus we will or have or are taking scary, nail biting steps that make us tremble and shake but we choose to listen to His voice and be led by His Spirit to do the will of the father.
Valley Vegas Church or VBF didn’t start on its own. Steps of faith were walked in complete trust that God would keep His word. That His promises are true and that God is real.
I hope this doesn’t seem like me rooting my own horn. I normally don’t write reviews on anything that I purchase or eat or a service I had. I just think it’s important to share when led and disregard fear itself and the fear of many things that try to stop us from sharing Gods goodness and to have tough conversations with each other to grow.
Thanks for reading
