OB Wannabes is an educational podcast about OB/GYN and women's health care led by medical students Cassi McDiarmid and Shelby Feliciano. Our goals are to introduce pre-medical and medical students to the field of OB/GYN and the different career opportunities within this field. Join us as we delve into the world of obstetrics and gynecology with different guest speakers, and learn more about women's health!
Episode 12: GynOnc Clerkship
This week Shelby shares her experience on her gynecologic oncology rotation. We're talking about what gyn-oncs do, what kind of pathology they see, and some of the not-well-known facets of gyn-onc practice! Corrections-  When discussing the role of traditional oncologists in gyn-onc: GYN oncologists will often refer their patients to a radiation oncologist if their treatment includes radiation in addition to chemotherapy and surgery.
