Good content, but poor sound
Content is great; very informative. Host is a bit dry but guest speakers are good aside from too many “umms”. Take lessons in speeking and podcasting plus work on audio.

Great info
I can’t get passed the host breathing into his mic. Great info and guests but the audio could use help.

Great.
Love this podcast. Only gripe is the sound quality is rough at times, however the material and guests are fantastic.

Ease off the breathing
The content is incredible but the nasal breathing kills it. I want this podcast to work but I get past five minutes and the nasal breathing is so bad that I turn it off.

Outstanding. Incredibly informative.

Great content, poor sound quality
I have learned so much already in the 3 episodes that I have listened to. That being said I will definitely keep this as a subscription and in my regular lineup! I just hope that the sound quality improves. A lot of heavy breathing and mouth noises and I’m not going to lie it’s kind of gross. That being said, keep bringing on the good content! I love the opportunity to hear from coaches at the top of the field.

Overall amazing but the heavy breathing needs to stop.
The podcast gives to you too of the line information and guest speakers but the microphone picks up all the background noises, heavy breathing, and lip smacking of both host and guest. Sometimes, even when it’s an interesting topic I need to turn it off because the noises are just too much.

A great 5 star podcast— well it would be if....
Great, but.... You breath into the mic so hard! Its distracting from the fantastic content!

Episode 56: Roger Marandino
What is up with the heavy breathing?????

Interviewer
The variety of speakers is wonderful, and I think they have a lot of applicable knowledge for coaches just starting out in their career, and coaches who have been in the field for years. My issue lies with the interviewer. He seems unengaged, not excited (despite saying he’s excited to be meeting with said person of the day,and quite often seems unprepared for the interview and has no questions of substance. His inability to interview and hold a conversation keeps me from listening to more episodes and subscribing

“Burn the Gas!” and S-E-T
I just discovered your podcast a few days ago and I want to say “thank you for doing this.” And Episode 48 was not my first episode (Episode 49 was my first), but you are right about Episode 48! Such an amazing guest! Bert Sorin left me so motivated, amped to seize the day, and ready to “Burn the Gas!” I also loved Bert’s philosophy of SET, Struggle-Eat-Talk. After being in the military for 22 years, I definitely can attest to that philosophy. Nothing brings people closer together like when you’ve shared a common struggle, then broke bread together and discussed it. Some of our best ideas have come from the discussions we’ve had at the end of the day over food and drink. Thank you again for doing this. I’ve learned so much just in these two episodes, especially this one. Great episode. Keep up the awesome work.

Jeff Carroll is a Great Guest
A lot of wisdom and knowledge came from this guest. Jeff Carroll was great to listen to. It must be great to have him as a coach. Seahawks have gone downhill since he left.

Find new interviewer
All the speakers are great. They are high energy, professional, and speak clearly and concisely. The person interviewing sounds like he is underwater or medicated. His questions seem made up on the spot and generally do not follow what the speaker has said, or the speaker already answered the question. The interviewer appears unprepared and grasping for things to say in reply to the speaker. His responses are generic and without thought. If the interviewer was a professional in the field, this could be a very smart dialogue.

Amazing resource
Coach Caulfield and the NSCA hit a home run with this podcast. This podcast has become a go to resource in my daily continuing education. It’s great to hear from our industries best and Coach does a fantastic job of lining up great guests and questions.

Very informative!
This podcast is a great listen for anyone who is an aspiring fitness/S&C professional. Coach Caulfield does an excellent job bringing in coaches to talk about real world experiences that they have every day. It’s not just another lecture about everything you read in a textbook. You get to hear about the ins and outs, the good and the bad, as well as what goes into making a successful career in this industry. I always take away something from every episode, and am reminded on a weekly basis to “make the big time where you are”

As someone up and coming in the Strength and Conditioning field these podcasts are an amazing tool. Whether it’s what not to do, who else to check out and just knowledge the NSCA podcast has it all.

Great content, horrible sound quality
Intent is great. Exceptionally helpful to hear what guests have to share. Guests have been brilliant so far. Sound quality fades in and out. Has been so distracting I've actually stopped listening in a couple episodes. Hopefully, it's great content will enable more funding to support a better audio quality.

No actual information given
I am 8 year certified member of the NSCA as CSCS. I will continue to be member and support the NSCA as the leading distributer of evidence based application. This podcasts does not provide any coaching information. The first question the host asked his guest is how his trip was? Not pertinent information but maybe just polite. Then he asks how he like his job? What? Why? Not pertinent information. The podcasts is disorganized and not helpful. I also listen to the Mike Boyle strength coach podcast. NSCA should look to that podcast as a model. Then do what the NSCA is great at evidence based application via JSCR and JSC. Respectfully. Matthew Z. H.

Awesome way to coach coaches!
Love the interviews and commentary provided by the podcast!

Great industry insights!
They're only two episodes in, but so far I love the NSCA Coaching Podcast! Looking forward to hearing insights from professionals working in sports / sectors other than my own. One topic I would love to hear different coaches' takes on is recovery, improving readiness, and how they approach this within their partnership with athletic trainers. (p.s. Not sure what happened on the second episode, but something on the playback audio was weird.) Looking forward to the next episode!
