NPR Goes Scene Vol. 1
This show is basically ā€˜This American Life’ from NPR but without all the things that make that show great. Plus, why would you treat a movement with counter-culture roots in such a culturally-adherent way? Just makes me think this dude should just take the script he clearly has for every single word he says and just post it on his website as an article. Sure, his research is thoroughly done but back to what I said earlier, just post it as an article instead of sounding like Gary from RvB.

I’m obsessed
I graduated high school in 2010, I was the first person I know on MySpace tbh... this podcast is everything to me right now, the nostalgia feels sooo good, and I’ve learned so much I didn’t know. The way he narrates is so smooth and it’s like being told seamless stories. I love it. Also take me back to 2008 my golden year of life where I had half bleach blond hair, side bangs, and pierced my nose and ears myself almost weekly lol. The scene was golden

A mixed bag
5 stars for content, genuinely well researched and the best breakdown of sales numbers and what they mean of anyone in this scene. That’s the hook of the show, I think, and a great one at that. 1 Star for the host, I just don’t like him. Seems impossible to please is never slow to point out how he knows clearly knows what band X should have done better than they do.

Please Come Back!
Note to Scene was the only source for news from a scene that’s quite frankly dying. Both these guys did a great job and I miss listening to them to get me through the work day. Please think about ending your hiatus - if Fall Out Boy did it, you can too.

Agree with Clbjack97
These guys are awful lol. Was done before I even finished my first episode. Tried to give the benefit of the doubt and force my way through a few more. Gave up. Samesies to Clbjack97. Shouldn’t even get a star.

Mediocre music pod
I revisited this podcast after I heard they were going on hiatus. I had given them a go when they first started but quickly left. I wanted to see if anything had changed since then. There’s something extremely unlikeable about the way the hosts talk about music. They seem overly critical of just about every band’s music or at least in every episode I’ve heard. I don’t think any band is good enough for them today and they believe mid-2000’s music is king. When they talk about music they’ve listened to, they speak in generalities, using words and phrases such as ā€œflat.ā€ They don’t go into specifics or analyze the music. It’s frustratingly bland. It also comes off as really elitist and douchey. I think that’s the biggest problem I have with them. They just seem so content with what they think. They’re obviously the right ones and they have empty words to prove it. As for the news they provide about the alternative scene: well that’s the only reason they even got an extra star from me. Yeah they give some decent news before bogging it down with their own opinion. They’ve spent too long on particular stories because they didn’t agree with a tweet someone made. And they would talk about how that was a mistake and blah blah blah. They really do a lot of complaining. Not joking. You could do better than this podcast. For all the love these guys supposedly have for the scene, they seem a little too above it and that shows in the way they talk about it.

Inner Scene girl is so happy
Reliving the glory days of the most influential music of our generation, hey there Delilah what was it like in 2007? Was my favorite episode yet! Thank you for reminding me that 2007 was an amazing year for the scene!

Best Podcast By Far
I listen to RuPaul & Note to Scene, and I have to say Note to Scene is my top listen. I listen every day while working, I could go through 6-7 episodes throughout my work day. From 5am to whenever I get off work, it’s always Note to Scene. I’m never able to keep up with scene news via social media because of work, so this has been my news. I’m still kind of far behind since I’m catching up, but it’s still one of the best things I listen to. I even stopped listening to my music just so I can spend my day listening to Matt & Tyler. Keep up the good work, guys.

BEST MUSIC PODCAST
This podcast is the best way to learn more about what is going on within the warped tour/altpress scene. Matt Crane and Tyler Sharp know their stuff and love hearing their insights.

Great Music News Commentary!
This show is great for someone who has been a bit disconnected from the Metalcore/Pop-Punk/Emo scene for awhile now, and provides great insight to music news and your favorite bands: blink-182, From First To Last, Paramore, ADTR, Asking Alexandria, All Time Low, Of Mice & Men and more! You guys are on to something, keep it up!
