For the first few episodes, we tackle the topic of growing up as an immigrant in predominantly white neighborhoods in Australia, the US and the UK.  My first guest Vicki discusses what it was like to grow up as an Asian female in a suburban neighborhood in Australia, and how that has shaped her life.

Before we get our teeth into the first episode, let's start at the beginning: Who am I and what do I know about being different? I give a little background about who I am and what sparked making a podcast about something that has impacted everything in my life and that at times has left me feeling anxious and isolated, but other times has me so proud of who I am.
