They’re barely putting out episodes anymore and blaming it on shift of power. New host is already great but for some reason the podcast can’t come up with gossip material which there should be plenty of!

I love the way the hosts write and tell the stories. They’re both awesome and I wish this podcast had a million episodes. Anyone rating this lower than 5 stars didn’t listen to a full episode. They’re all bangers.

This podcast used to be so good, but it hasn’t been the same at all since the host has changed. Also there are more ads than content. Something needs to change.

Found this podcast and was so happy and raced through it, except the “Bonus Episodes” which don’t tell a well fleshed out juice story but, instead, is a listener call in sort of thing and it’s not really for me. That said, it looks like there has not been any “real” episodes in months! What’s happening? I am sad! It’s only been 2 episodes for me so far as I’ve just discovered this podcast for today, but I’m RIVETED! Also, I need an update on Sade (the normal person, not the professional singer) and her mother and what kind of shenanigans the mom may have gotten the whole family into in an attempt for grandkids! This podcast just might be my new happy place!

I just listened to s2e2 (the not so magicians) while driving across the country. I’ve been a casual fan for a minute now but the takes on this episode were so rude and inconsiderate that i had to pull over and write this review in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately this episode alone has lost me as a listener. (And the INSANE amount of ads…)

This show means so much to me. I listen religiously. So much joy.

I used to love this show but every episode now is kind of a “here’s why we’re doing poorly” or “here’s why we’re not doing this or that” - the tone has become so sad and weird. You don’t have to put out new episodes. Who has these poor people locked up forcing them to produce? I’d rather have 5 good episodes a year than 20 weird toned sad forced episodes.

I’ve been listening to this podcast since close to the beginning and I love it. I think Rachelle breathes new life into this show. I hope you all give her her props daily! She kept so many listeners on board and brought it new ones!! Go Rachelle!

Any recent positive reviews you see that claim this podcast is “still just as good” or “better than ever” is a desperate attempt to distract from what is perhaps the most precipitous decline in quality for a podcast ever. There are so many reasons but this is the one that really gets me the most is: Their “seasons” now look a little like this: - Starts in mid-November. - Immediately takes 1.5 month long holiday break - Ends in early March This is truly a work schedule any person would want - and might possibly be the shortest season of any form of media in recent memory. In the maybe (if generous) 4 months where there is content several of the episode styles have changed from story retelling to Q+A people interviews - always with people no one has heard or cares about. There are sometimes long (over 3 mins) periods of verbatim grainy/tinny voicemails played in these episodes also…followed by fake giggling - both truly awesome choices for an entirely audio medium. If there is ever a college course on “what not to do to an extremely successful podcast” this should be the case study - I’d certainly rather take my chance with those students.

Pleaseeeee get a new host 😭 Kelsey was the best but I can’t stand the way the new host talks. She speaks so slowly & is monotone. It’s boringggg & ruining a perfect podcast!!!

I’ve been a fan of Normal Gossip for the last few years, and it remains in my main podcast rotation and always a podcast I recommend to people. Despite being many seasons deep, each episode continues to feel fresh. Rachelle Hampton is killing it as a host. Keep up the incredible work, Normal Gossip team!

This show used to be one of my favorites but I find the new host incredibly annoying. Her pauses for reactions are cringe and her constant laughter is distracting

I never leave reviews, but looking over some of these other reviews, I had to post something. I loved the podcast when it was Kelsey and Alex, and I love it now that it is Rachelle and Se’era. (And I know there are more people that work on the show too, great crew all around). If you feel compelled to comment on Rachelle’s laugh, you should ask yourself: why do I hate women’s joy so much? Pin that for later to explore with your therapist. If you like having a good time, this podcast is for you. If you don’t like fun or laughing, maybe find another pod to listen to.

I just listened to the finale and wanted to thank you for all you do. It is a fun, lighthearted podcast and I appreciate the transparency around making it in the current state of affairs, as well as the “peaceful transition of power”. Multiple episodes now that I’ve had to skip or tune out. So much politics being brought in. Please bring back the story telling and comedy!

I used to love this show, but as soon as you announced you didn’t support Israel, you lost me and any person I would ever recommend you to. It’s a much more complex issue than giving money to Israel for weapons while people here starve on the streets.

I used to love this show, Kelsey was a great storyteller and host. I’m sure Rachel is great too, but something‘s just not right, haven’t been able to get through a full episode with this new host, which is a shame because now more than ever I need some normal gossip.

This is a Rachelle appreciation post and literally the first time I’ve felt compelled to review a podcast. I’ve always loved the format of the show and was worried when the original host left but Rachelle goes from strength to strength and I love the chemistry she has with her guests, it’s especially unmatched when she gets to be with her people iykyk. It really feels like a hangout session with your favorite people. It reminds me of Another Round (rip)

I typically listen to the podcast to get away from the craziness of the world and just need something lighthearted, more and more this podcast is not being that. The final straw is when they were joking about being blasphemous. I wish the old host was back.

Loved this podcast BUT I miss the original host. Hard to listen now because the giggling is over the top and feels forced.

I started listening just before Kelsey McKinney announced she was leaving and I as so bummed. I had finally discovered a new podcast, that wasn’t true crime, where I loved the host and now she was leaving. Kelsey was an amazing host and I had to admit it took me a while to get used to Rachelle Hampton, but she’s so brilliant. I feel she keeps finding herself in this podcast and I love it. Her reactions and back and forth with the guests reveal her natural storyteller abilities.

When I’m really struggling, which has been often lately, listening to this podcast puts me instantly in a better mood and helps lift me up. You are doing the lords work, truly.

Finally leaving a review after Rachelle mentioned that it’s her 1 year anniversary of taking over as a host! She (and her team) have done such an amazing job with the show this year… I had some initial nerves when the hosting switch was announced (change is hard, y’all) but those worries went away almost immediately because Rachelle is such a wonderful storyteller & builds such entertaining and fun rapport with all her guests! 5 stars for an incredible peaceful transition of power <3

Mountaineering mayhem is the episode that did it for me. I’m over the man-hatingness this podcast has become. The storylines no longer flow because there is too much banter between the hosts obnoxious forced laughter at things that aren’t even funny and the guests making unnecessary remarks that do nothing to progress the plot. It’s sad, this podcast used to be amazing when Kelsey hosted!

This is my favorite podcast!! Never fails to make me laugh, and Rachel is amazing as the host.
