Quinn and Tor discuss the importance of trans visibility and representation in the media and the journey they both have traveled to achieve a healthy, body-positive lifestyle.

In this episode, Tor chats with Roger Sanchez, an advocate for the banning of conversion therapy in the United States. Roger himself is a survivor from this practice and he shares his story to help bring awareness to the issue. Currently, only 19 states have laws protecting the LGBTQIA community from conversion therapy and it is commonly practiced in the United States more than one would think.

In episode 9, Tor chats with Hebe Tabachnik, artistic director of Cine Latino Minneapolis St.Paul festival. We discuss the festival, the importance of representation, and Hebe talks about her personal history and passions for films.

In this Episode, Tor talks with Professor Joaquin Munoz from Augsburg University. They discuss the systemic barriers children of color encounter in the US education system. They also reflect back on their own experiences and discuss the trauma that they endured.

In this seventh installment, Tor chats with their long-time Amiga, Chris Garza aka “La Bruja” Chris is also a fellow Texan living in the Midwest. They discuss what’s it was like growing up in Texas and living in Minnesota being brown & queer.

The Latinx community is still reeling from the El Paso massacre. Like others, we continue to process and come to terms with our new reality. For this episode producer, Filiberto Nolasco Gomez gives Tor, a native of El Paso, a chance to speak to what they have been experiencing. This was a hard episode to record, but we felt it was important to share our thoughts as our community collectively processes the hostility of white supremacist terror. Ultimately continuing to do what we do is our most excellent defense against acts of terror.
