On this episode, I had the honor to sit with Ree Botts and we had a beautiful conversation about healing as Black womxn. Reelaviolette botts-ward is a homegirl, an artist, and a nontraditional community curator from Philadelphia, PA. She is the founder of blackwomxnhealing, an intergenerational collective of Black womxn committed to wholeness, where she curates healing circles, exhibitions, courses, and research “for us, by us.”
We discussed:
Her book, Mourning My Inner [BlackGirl] Child
The unlearning we’ve had to do from older Black womxn in our lives.
The sacredness of childhood
Giving Black girls space to explore their full self
Learning how to embrace the fullness of ourselves
Realizing that people will experience you differently
I hope that you all truly enjoy this episode! The amount of transparency and vulnerability that we both displayed, was powerful in and of itself.

This is the third and final installment of the Starter Kit Series. When I decided to do this mini series it was because I feel in most cases the relationships that we have with ourselves before hopping in relation with other people isn’t talked about enough.

In her chapter of the book, Morgan, really shares her journey of navigating through a difficult relationship. I hope you all enjoy this conversation!

This is the second installment of the Starter Kit Series. I had the pleasure of sitting down with my guest for this episode, Kindra Mone, to discuss all things situationships. Kindra is the founder and editor of The Styling Soul, which is both a blog and a podcast.
I knew Kindra was the right person to talk to about relationships, because she offers such a real and faith-based perspective to relationships. Especially when it comes to situationships I knew she could give us some real game about how to avoid those at all cost since she’s in a beautiful relationship
We talked about everything from:
Her current relationship
Why is important to enter relationships with a clean slate
Why do we settle?
Broke down how we define talking, dating and the red flags in situationships.

Welcome back!! This episode is the beginning to a 3 part series about relationships. When I decided to do this mini series it was because I feel in most cases the relationships that we have with ourselves before hopping in relation with other people isn’t talked about enough.
I’ve been experiencing an immense amount of anxiety about releasing this particular episode, because of how vulnerable I’m allowing myself to be.
Besides that I know that this can help someone! I’m also an artist/creative so I’m sensitive about my shit! I hope something in this episode resonates with you. Let’s go get more WHOLE and HEALED!

On this week’s episode I’m back with the 3rd and final installment, on the Bet on Yourself mini series.
I have continuously said that I wanted to speak with people who are talented, and just so happen to be my friends in their 20’s who are taking risk on themselves in their respective careers.
On this episode I sat down, virtually, with Catie Morris. Catie is full of so much wisdom and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. We talked about everything from: criticism from family and friends who don’t believe in your dreams, the “what if” mindset, and the lifelong lessons learned from children’s theatre.

I wanted to engage with people on some more topics that help move the social conversations forward, that’s where this idea of bonus episodes came from.
On this weeks FIRST bonus episode. I had the pleasure of sitting down to talk with the incomparable Michelle Pratt.
Michelle is into all things fashion and beauty, but I thought she was the perfect person to have this conversation with. We talked about everything from growing up in rural America then moving to one of the biggest cities in the world, and how she has had to address certain topics with family and friends. This was just a free flowing conversation so you may here a wide range of things!
