As a creative, you live between two worlds — the imaginary and reality. Each day, you travel through a land of thoughts and ideas collecting the very best and to bring to life. The creative nature tends to make you a little weird to those around you. They don’t always get what you do and who you are. This can make your world seem lonely and you can begin to draw into yourself, retreating back to your daydreams. Before you know if you’re no longer creating because you’re afraid of being seen as the weird creative kid. So, you follow the trends, you begin to talk like everyone else, think like everyone else — you start to do what it takes to fit in, to be recognized, to be someone normal. But, you’re not normal. You’re creative. You have weird ideas, you have designs that don’t fit in a portfolio, you have stories that don’t belong on the big screen, but you’d love to tell them anyway, you have insights that no one else ever thought to think. The world around you will do whatever it takes to beat your creative nature into uniformity. If you’re not careful, you might let it. What you need in life is a good cutman. Someone who can be in your corner to cheer you on, empower you to navigate the challenges of a creative life as you deal with things like influence, leading others, obtaining clients, staying healthy as a creative, and being true to your unique style. I want to be that person for you. Which is why I’m making this podcast. I want to help you be real with who you are and what you create. Follow me on Instagram.
