Favorite mentor I haven’t met
For the last five years, I feel like I’ve grown from confused twenty something to mature, discerning believer with Luke guiding the way. Love his books, love his pod, and I’m grateful for this platform to learn from him.

Great podcast!
Love hearing Luke, Jonathan, and other guests from churches of Christ evaluate the general Christian world. Very interesting and helpful!

Please stop the mockery
Luke interviews outstanding guests, which causes me to download some episodes. But his RELENTLESS teasing and mockery of his guests is juvenile and extremely unattractive. I want to ask him why he does this. It is unnecessary and strikes me as insecure. Every podcaster has a "voice," but Luke needs to find a more refined one.

Enjoy this podcast so much!
I love this podcast! Great variety of guests with meaningful, thought provoking and fun conversations. I try to go walking everyday and some days this is the only thing that motivates me to actually get up and go or to go a little further. Also, a native Texan living in AR (who loves the Enneagram)so I love all the TX/AR fun that is had on this podcast.

Smart, food guests
Don’t know your work but I like your demeanor and you have good guests. Lots of rob bell so that’s rad. Mahalo from Hawaii. :)

What variety
Luke has a wide variety of authors and pastors. Listening has resulted in the purchase of several good books and a strenghening of my relationship to God.

Listening?
Came over to your show after hearing you on A Downs...you are clearly very gifted. It does seem at times like you aren’t listening to your guest. I listened to the love heals episode and the pauses and text sounds in the background made me want to jump out of my skin. She was such a beautiful guest...maybe you all have a close relationship but it felt a bit disrespectful and uncomfortable as a listener.

So When Does the Awesome Begin?
I've been listening to the podcast for a while now, in between installments of that great podcast Crackers and Grape Juice, and I enjoy it and Luke's hair but when does the awesome come? Still waiting.

Imagine
Imagine if the cornerback from high school football team grew up, found hair product, committed to crossfit, found Jesus, and decided to be a pastor... Luke bros it up with his friends (who all are in the spiritual profession), and he interviews spiritual authors to give platform for their new texts. This podcast is accessable enough for spiritual novices, but it also has (often inside jokes with J Storm) deeper theological reflections for those with theology degrees.

A Great Podcast & Even Better Hair
Luke is a great host with a great head of hair. His guests are relevant, his commentary is thoughtful, and you can tell he is not pushing an agenda in his interviews. It is obvious he cares enough about his guests to actually read their books before they come on the show and refrains from asking softball questions. While Newsworthy with Norsworthy is no Crackers & Grape Juice, this podcast will challenge you to think about your faith seriously.

Bali 9
It's about time America heard about Andrew and Myu, 2 young men that should be alive today. I've followed schapelle Corby/ Bali 9 news since the beginning. Thanks for taking the time to bring awareness. I'm from Texas, also.

Learning from Luke
I learn so much from listening to the podcasts of Newsworthy with Norsworthy. The topics cover much spiritual and biblical topics from so many different voices. I always learn and want to know more!

My Traveling Buddy!
I download Luke's podcasts and listen to them as I'm traveling for work. They not only keep me awake as I'm driving, but they are engaging, informative and thought provoking. I enjoy the humor as well, and always feel that I have been spiritually challenged. Keep them coming, Luke!!

Great Program
I listen to Luke every week and enjoy hearing from his guests. The interviews with authors and pastors give great overviews of their work which is very useful for preachers (like me!). Luke is smart, sincere, respectful, and clever. The monthly wrapups with "frenemy" Jonathan Storment are fun and always thoughtful. Keep up the good work!

Best for newborns
I wanted to get my 4-day-old son off to a good podcasting start, so I turned on the latest Storment wrap up podcast! Thanks for making a difference in my son's life, Jonathan. If he ends up with your faith and Luke's hair, I'll consider it a win. (Oh, and really nice job on the interviews Luke, the guest selection and your willingness to ask risky questions make for a great show.)

Awesome podcast-guests, questions, conversations all topnotch.

Great guests
I listen to this podcast for the guests. I had been searching for interviews of Rob Bell and stumbled upon this podcast. It's good overall, but I wish the interviewing style was more easy going and open to where the guests want to take the conversations. Also, all the corny jokes bug me (sorry!).

Engaging, Fresh, and Intriguing
I have found this to be one of the most engaging and interesting Christian podcasts around. The quality of Luke's guests are amazing and come from a wide variety of Christian traditions. I don't know how this guy does it but I just love it. I can't keep up with podcasts as much as I like but I will find myself binging on these podcasts and they seem to come at the right time and just when I need them.

Great for non-geeks too
Newsworthy with Norsworthy has opened up new doors for me in my Christian journey. The discussions are great for regular peeps like me who don't have an Mdiv;) yet still want to be a part of complex spiritual discussions that we otherwise don't have an outlet for. Deconstruction and reconstruction are regular themes that I identify with and continually need guidance in. The books and discussions are so incredibly helpful. Keep up the amazing work Luke, I look forward to listening each week.

make your commute more interesting!
Luke gets great guests and asks excellent questions. He laughs at his own jokes a lot (who doesn’t?) but generally does a great job of getting out of the way and letting his guests speak. If you don’t attend a church or you actually do and your own pastor’s sermons are incredibly boring and routine, listening to Luke’s podcast will introduce you to a world of fascinating teachers, preachers, authors and theologians that will remind you that not all people who are employed at churches, christian colleges or work in the religious world for a living are dim-witted and close minded. There are a few people in Christendom still worth paying some attention to. Luke finds them. Terrific job, Luke! Keep up the good work!

Exceptional conversations, Timely questions, An earnest search
Luke is digging into questions of how we understand God. Coming from a traditionally conservative background, Mr Norsworthy is exploring progressive out workings of theology. He has serious skill asking challenging questions, good questions, insightful questions. Often spinning off current events, Luke's guests are freed to shed light and share real gems of wisdom on the newsworthy topics.

Excellent podcast
A thought provoking podcast featuring a broad range of guests answering meaningful questions. Some homeschooled guests as well.

Great to Mediocre
When Norsworthy stays on topic, he asks insightful questions and gets to the heart of the issue or book being reviewed. When he's trying to be funny or overly-familiar, the interview becomes awkward and stilted.

Awesome
Luke has a truly awesome line-up of guests (and occasionally says something interesting himself too!).

Moving up the charts & #1 in our hearts.
Over the last few months this has become my favorite podcast. Luke has a great variety of interesting guests and the show has helped me move out of a stagnant approach to faith & spirituality. My favorite guests would would be Luke's favroite Richard (Rohr), his favorite psychologist (his dad), and his favorite psycologist named Richard (Beck), but with the exception of Storment I have enjoyed the entire lineup of guests. If you decided to take the leap and start listening... get ready for some awesome.

I've known about this podcast for a long time but never thought it would be something that would keep me engaged. Wrong! I downloaded about 10 episodes that I thought would be the most interesting based on the guests, and I blew through those in less than a week and am now working on the next 10. My favorite so far has been Nadia Bolz-Weber. I haven't watched Netflix in a week because of this podcast!

$1,000,000 jackpot of spiritual resources
It's like Luke knows EVERYBODY who has something new and enlightening to say about being spiritual in today's world. I was on a search for wisdom and new understandings of truth and Newsworthy is like the $1,000,000 jackpot of spiritual resources. I love the variety of guests. I love that he has household names like Bell and Rohr, but also introduces me to people who have a "new song to sing". Luke doesn't take himself too seriously, tries to have fun, never apologies for who he is and where he comes from, and all the while comes at each podcast with such an open heart. It just makes me feel so hopeful about my faith. It will do the same for you. Make this a part of your weekly walk around the neighborhood, drive to work, or even mowing the yard. Training for a marathon? Train for your spiritual journey at the same time! Pop on those headphones and subscribe to this wonderful resource. PS: he also responds to messages on his facebook page. Thanks Luke for your gift!

Best Podcast Ever!
I never have been much of a podcast listener till a friend told me about this and since then I haven't turned back! I love this podcast not only because it's funny, but because it's thought provoking and spiritually nourishing! Thanks Luke for your passion and authentic love for Christ! Great podcast!
I really enjoy the variety of guests and discussions--ranging from theology to ministerial practice to sociology to psychology to . . . Listening to NWN always makes me think AND leaves me feeling entertained. A couple episodes that really stood out to me recently were Nadia Bolz-Weber and Don McLaughlin's most recent appearances on the show. Keep up the good work!

Favorite insightful podcast by far!
I'm so thankful for this podcast that tackles heavy and important theological matters with such ease and wit through casual interviews. It's food for my soul and has also been a great conversation starter on many occasions.

Good Stuff!
Great topics, great guests. Luke does a great job preparing for the interviews and interacting with the guests in a natural, easy to listen to way. Side note: Luke mentioned another reviewer who has bought numerous books based on interviews from the podcast. Ditto (Pete Rollins), BUT Luke wanted a cut of Pete Enns' book sales...I actually found the podcast by searching for Peter Enns b/c I heard him on a different podcast. Technically, my man Pete should get a sponsorship cut...just sayin'.

I wasn't ready for that much awesome!
Know Luke personally and who he is on the podcast is exactly who he is in real life. He is able to have organic flow in conversation even when his guest are way different than him. Very insightful and easy to listen to.

Insightful, Thought Provoking, and Sarcastic
Luke Norsworthy certainly accomplishes what he sets out to provide with this podcast (or so I can imagine). I stumbled upon the show in search for any and all N.T. Wright interviews (let’s be honest, who can’t get enough of Tom Wright) and I was hooked after I discovered he was interviewing all of these incredible authors, church leaders, and pastors. I have bought multiple books from authors I was not familiar with (Peter Enns and Peter Rollins owe you a cut), all the while gaining a deeper appreciation for author’s I’ve been reading for years. I admire Luke’s ability to engage with his guests through stirring topics while holding onto his dry sensibility and sarcastic humor. I’m a fan, and can’t wait to hear more from Luke and whoever else might be heard on the show in the near future.
