Today’s reading takes us to Hebrews 7, where we see Jesus as the Priest who never stops. Melchizedek points us to a greater priesthood, a better hope, an eternal Priest, and a perfect Priest. The old priesthood could provide ceremonial access, but it could never perfect the worshiper. Jesus does what no earthly priest could ever do.

Hebrews 7 reminds us that our security is not anchored in how tightly we hold on to Jesus, but in how faithfully Jesus holds His office. He saves to the uttermost, lives forever, and always intercedes for His people. So today, read Hebrews 7 and draw near to God with confidence: the Savior who died for you is still alive for you, and His intercession has no expiration date.
