AMAZING!

Not your normal setting for D&D and that just makes it awesome! I’ve just listened to the first ark and I’m looking forward to more!

My name is not Matt, no one from the show has paid me for this review. You should listen to this It is very funny I enjoy processing the data on this podcast Again I’m not a ‘bot‘

I was hesitant to try a new DND podcast, but this one grew on me. It started as filler between other current releases, but now I’m on a quest exclusively to catch up! Feels like I’m there with them listening!

Has been my go-to D&D podcast, and has been really helping me with my growing journey as a new DM! Thank you all so much for the chill atmosphere and great story!

Can’t get enough of these folks. Brightens my day listening to them. Lots of laughter. We all could use more laughter!

You ever turn your head into a refried bean serving bowl for a potluck you weren’t invited to because you found out your girlfriend cheated on you with a three-toed hermit named Giuseppe from the law offices of Li, Lah, and Lough? Well, that’s what it feels like to chew five gum. Stimulate your centipedes. Also, the show is pretty neat. I’m still waiting back to hear if Jack will officiate my hamster’s wedding to my bunny. I told him that the raccoon seductress had gone now, so there was no more in-home turmoil. We can all be a family again. We can heal. Nature is returning.

This is definitely the most original show I’ve heard in 2021. They’re real, authentic, funny and cool! Can’t wait for the next episode!

I love the way this podcast is set up in the dynamic between the friends. Super unique but still so fun!

Many podcasts struggle on chemistry with the hosts, but not this one. This crew are amazing fun to listen to. Looking forward to the next episode.

I appreciate joking around and getting some good laughs at my friends expense just as much as anyone so they definitely had me sold just on that alone.

I know this show will go far these guys are great. If you like D&D you will love these guys!

The character building in this podcast is amazing!! Such a fun ride!!

A very well done podcast with high quality sound. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic concept and story telling!

🎉✨🎉✨🎉

A break from the reality. I can visualize each character. They are hilarious everyone has a distinct personality and bring their own unique style and flair. I enjoy just escaping the adventure and listening to the journey they take me on. Otis good to be able to not have to take things so serious all the time.

Love it! Very engaging

Definitely a must listen to podcast. You can tell a lot of work was put into this channel! Keep it up

I am someone who’s is not part of the D&D world, but this was still very funny and super creative. Trust me when I say it’s worth a listen and a follow. You don’t want to miss the comedy action.

Great show. Great quality , entertaining the whole time.

Eclectic and a must listen.

I enjoy listening to this podcast. Everyone should listen, subscribe and listen to this podcast!

don't have dice on you? well listen to these guys and get a laugh and enjoy a great story!

Great humor great vibe!!!

Wow, this is a must listen. Each episode drawing you further into the game with awesome sound quality to boot. Subscribe today folks!

NCOTB is the most fun you can have without chucking the dice yourself. Such an eclectic mix of misfits engaging in skullduggery is sure to polish the armor of even the most tarnished paladin. 5/5 would recommend

I’ve been binging new crits for about a month now and it’s great. Definitely on par with similar podcasts like adventure zone, critical role, and dimension 20.

I listen to more D

I joined the Church of YFPM (Your Favorite Player Matt) about 18 months ago. I couldn’t have foreseen the hilarity, fanart-inspiration, and friendship that would ensue. If you enjoy the off-the-wall humor and rules irreverence of Dimension 20 and The Adventure Zone, this podcast is for you! - Trees

New Crits on the Block is a great listen and helps time fly by especially when you need it to the most. The Cast’s story deftly switches between serious emotional moments comical hijinks. You can tell that from the DM’s prep to the editing room that this podcast is a labor of love. Wether you are not familiar with TTRPGs and just want a good story or been listening to and playing them for a long time you’ll enjoy every moment of time you invest.

Review for a magnificent comedic dungeons and dragons podcast that is, in my opinion, on par with The Adventure Zone and NADDPOD? Hmm, I have a lot to say but to keep it short and simple, the shenanigans? I live for it. The jokes that create most entertaining tangents? It restores my soul and helps me forget my depression. It’s a bloody great podcast listen too it, you won’t be disappointed. Unless you’re a rules-lawyer or a DnD gatekeeper, you’ll find no enjoyment out of it, sorry I don’t read the rules but apparently they do🤷‍♂️🤣

If you’re looking for a good time this is the DnD podcast for you! It has the feeling of sitting down with your friends for a good time while rolling some d20s.

I usually don’t listen to podcasts but this is hilarious and sweet. I love each character and it’s amazing how funny everyone is. Plus the dm is thorough and makes sure everyone has fun including the listeners

This podcast is one of the highlights of my week! It really makes you feel like you are just sitting around the table with friends playing D&D and going down whatever rabbit holes open up! I’d recommend this podcast to anyone who is looking for an actual play with a strong, original campaign!

Listen to this podcast - it is a seriously good time. I have been listening since day 1 and It is the first podcast that I listen to when a new episode is released.

As a disclaimer, there's a lot more language and sexual content than I'd like, but I fully admit to being a prudish Cleric. The whole cast does a great job, and the DM always amazes me with his ability to work with all the unexpected actions. It's definitely goofier D&D, but they do a great job at balancing the content so there's something for everyone. Keep up the good work, y'all!

I've come to enjoy listening to these new Adventures! I typically do my illusttration/graphics work while listening to NewCritsontheBlock.

Juicy

I love the characters, the sounds effects, & feel like I’m part of this campaign! I’m invested & y'all are amazing! Keep it going guys & love y’all

It’s a really good podcast for people that like to draw or imagine

- The DM is a wonder of comedy and fair judgement - Great Improv - Stellar Voices - The chemistry between the players and DM is absolutely magical Overall, can’t stop listening to this podcast!

As a long time TTRPGer I love this podcast. Story telling from DM Jake is great. Aewyn is the best but the other party members are great too! I love how everyone uses different voices and stays in character pretty well.

This is such a cool podcast and simultaneously combines so many things I love! Keep on keeping on y’all

It’s listening to an improved epic journey . Sooo very cool! I know nothing about the game but am truly enjoying the story and all of the characters. Seriously... tune in!

Just caught up on all of the 5 episodes they have available and I am absolutely HOOKED! This story is fantastic and super funny. Keep it up, guys; you’re doing great!

Was told about this podcast from a friend and was initially very impressed with the audio quality and clarity. Didn’t sound like they were speaking directly into my ear but also didn’t sound muffled. Great conversation and kept me smiling the whole time.

So I know a couple these guys from another show and I gotta say... this is a good show, and that’s not the wine talking. This is definitely not one to listen to with your kids unless they’ve been steeped in GoT and old George Carlin stand up. And now that I think of it that’s a great way to describe this... George Carlin meets GoT.

I have always had a hard time getting into new fantasy content. There is something about trying to learn all new weird names, locations and themes. It's usually made worse by Dungeons and Dragons content starting in the middle of an adventure, with much done privately before public consumption. Thankfully, New Crits on the Block avoids these pitfalls. The world starts small, with the cast of characters playing up their characters in believable, albeit awkward, interactions that is prime entertainment. The voice acting is superb and the roleplay so organic and subversive expectation that you can't help but begin to see where party conflict could emerge. The DM does some interesting things with his NPC's, playing into the casual jokes and gentle ribbings the cast engages with. You can tell the team are dear friends who want to entertain first and foremost. And entertain they surely do! Definitely check it out!

A friend of mine put me on to this podcast and told me to just try it out. I love it! I love games like Betrayal at House on the Hill and really want to start a D&D group. Thank you guys for being so hilarious, animated and nerdy. Don’t ever stop 🤘🏾
