I bet you can upload some fairytales music

I really enjoy Julie Amacher’s always illuminating New Classical Tracks podcasts. The programs help me explore outside the boundaries of my Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky comfort zone.

I have several podcasts that I listen to regularly, but this is the one I look forward to most. Julie is really well prepared and familiar with both the music and the artist’s background, leading to a very thorough and entertaining discussion of the selection each week. I don’t know how see discovers these new releases, but quite a few of them have been added to my library as a result of the program. I also have downloaded quite a few of my favorite episodes, so I can go back and replay them when traveling, etc. Keep up the good work Julie!

A wonderful review of some remarkable music. A must listen podcast. Julia is extremely well prepared for each guest which leads to an interesting and well flowing discussion.

I enjoy Julie Amaker’s interviews and her choice of guests is varied. However, I wish two things: 1. Let the music play longer. I tune in to hear the examples but so often it is buried underneath speaking. On other podcasts i get enough time to hear but I’m often frustrated on this podcast. 2. Julie’s questions are too leading. Perhaps more editing so you can get the stories you want from a guest instead of telling is what you know? Thanks for the recent Maya Beiser episode. Cool stiff.

Proof that technology hasn’t ruined everything

Juli Amacher is a great interview, with warmth and musical knowledge. I love that she brings out the musician’s experience as well as talking about the music. And she covers a wide range of music.

this podcast is unbelievably good. the way she weaves the music through the interview is perfect. and her selection of artists is stunning, they’re always so moving and talented.

I’m so glad this podcast is here. I’m playing catch-up on past episodes and am enjoying it thoroughly. I am of two minds of the short form, sometimes it’s exactly what I want and (after listening) I usually really, REALLY want to listen to more of a ‘deep dive’.

This podcast offers a beautiful view into the minds of classical musicians and composers and offers a great escape from the every day! The editing is a fantastic blend of the interview and the recording being discussed. Many other music podcasts go too far one way or the other, but I love the balance between the music and the conversation. Definitely give it a listen!

Entertaining, well produced; covers a wide range of music. I've really enjoyed listening to this over the past several years. The podcasts are short enough for a quick listen as my morning wake-up music on my alarm clock. Nice way to supplement written reviews of new CD's because of the ability to listen to the tracks themselves. This has helped me to buy a few CD's that I would not otherwise have ventured to purchase. Thank you!

If you like classical music (even a little bit) you will enjoy this podcast highlighting new classical music releases. Julie covers a variety of classical genres from new releases of old standards to some stuff that is "on the edge" of new classical.

I enjoy Julie Amacher's reviews of new classical releases. She provides background for the music or performer, and an explanation of why this particular release is interesting or exciting. She also plays samples of the music. I have purchased several of the albums she has reviewed. I only wish iTunes would carry all of the new classical music she reviews. The latest release by Ensemble Caprice with the Vivaldi Gloria!, for example, is missing from the iTunes store.

Julie Amacher and her cohorts achieve something amazing in this podcast: a reunion of the general populace and the fine arts, and a gentle setting aside of the past hundred years of American segregation of classical music. It is a superlative example of people who love classical music for what it is -- and not as a vitamin, a tonic, or self-help. Lightly held, lovingly described, wonderfully conversational in tone. great music very well presented with interesting explanations and historical setting information, also artists' commentary/responses. so many appealing temptations to hear and hope to add to my library--when I can't tweak the budget any more, I'll hit the public library with new requests ...
