Networth
Networth
James LeDonne
Networth is a podcast dedicated to personal growth. I interview people from all walks of life, different career paths, and different perspectives hoping that their story, background, and path will inspire listeners to chase their dreams. I titled the podcast "Networth" (a play on the word) because I think this applies not only in the financial sense. I think this applies to overall knowledge, happiness, self-esteem, etc. We can always learn something from someone, and if we keep that mentality we will all ultimately grow, and increase our Networth in all areas of life.
Dakota Popham
Do you ever wonder what it takes to get to the next level? As a former athlete, I have always wondered how people make it to the professional level in whatever they do. In this episode, I sit down with professional baseball player Dakota Popham. Dakota has achieved some incredible things in his baseball career, so I wanted to see what it took to perform that way. We cover his story starting from being introduced to the game, to competitive club ball, and all the way up through NCAA ball. We also cover sport psychology, how to overcome a slump, and taking pride in your work/work ethic. Even if you are not an athlete, this is an inspiring episode to listen to. I hope you guys enjoy! Ryan Wong
We're back after a week off. I hope everyone is still being safe out there. This week I sat down with Ryan Wong who I met through mutual friends about a year ago. Ryan is the Facilities Manager at the UCCS Recreation Center, so I wanted to talk about how he manages his staff, what his day-to-day responsibilities look like, and anything else that comes with the job. He offers great advice on how to develop your staff and give them transferable skills - definitely one thing I need to work on. If you are a manager, or have thoughts about becoming a manager, this is the episode for you. Colton Sedlak
Do you guys ever meet those high energy, always smiling, happy-go-lucky people and wonder how they do it? That's what I thought when I first met Colton my first week at All American Sports. He is one of the nicest guys I know and is relatable in every sense. I have been wanting to get him on Networth since I started the podcast and finally got the chance. We talk about everything from lessons in sports, becoming an adult, and where his positive attitude comes from. This is also the first episode where we went live on Instagram for 20 minutes and that was a shit show but we had a great time with it. This is one of my favorite episodes so far so I hope you guys really enjoy it! Daniel Burton
Sitting down with a highly anticipated guest is always exciting. When I first met Daniel at All American Sports I knew that he would be easy to get along with. Aside from having an even-keel personality, he is also an incredibly hard worker and I knew I could count on him when I became manager. Getting to know Daniel outside of a work setting was the main goal of this episode. We talk about hunting and fishing which are a big part of his life, growing up in a military family and how moving around changed his interests during his developmental years, sports, and a lot more. Daniel will definitely be back on the pod soon, so be on the lookout for that! Enjoy! Sean English
After months of trying to schedule a time, I finally got the chance to sit down with Sean. We have hung out a few times with the big group of friends, but I never really got to know him until now. Of course, as two former athletes and sports fanatics, most of our conversation was about how our life revolved around sports while growing up. But one thing stuck out to me in this convo - it was that he is eager to broaden his horizons, as am I. We talk a lot about what life would be like if we weren't involved in sports, and what hobbies and interests we have that we want to delve into. I think sports created a foundation for us, but we want to use our work ethic and team mentality and apply it to something else. At the end we go pretty deep into movies and tv series, so be on the lookout for some spoilers. I hope you guys enjoy! Haley Slezosky
While recording Jake's episode, he had mentioned that I should definitely have Haley on the podcast, that she would be fun to record with and can hold a conversation about anything. I can tell you, Haley lived up to the hype. This was a very fun episode to record. First of all, she bought me a venti white chocolate mocha, which has never been done before - so thank you Haley. We talk about her life growing up, moving to Colorado, and what her thoughts are of this beautiful state. She is also studying Sociology, so of course we talked about our experience going through that program. At the end, we started talking about ghost stories so don't turn off the episode too soon! Enjoy! Follow Haley on Instagram: @haleyslezosky If you guys would like to be a guest on the podcast, DM me and we will set something up. Amber Lamdin
In this episode I got to sit down Amber, a student at UCCS currently in the nutrition program. As a person that is always wondering what foods are doing to my body, I really wanted to find out what I should be cutting out of my diet (even though I will never stop eating pizza). We talk about what sparked her interest in nutrition, what she is most infatuated with so far in her studies, and she finally validates my spaghetti theory from high school baseball. We also talk about beer, she teaches me the basics of soccer, and what it was like growing up in rural Colorado. This was a fun episode to record, I hope you guys enjoy! Jake Sellinger
I finally got a chance to sit down with Jake and reconnect. I was first introduced to him when he started on set-up crew at UCCS. I knew from the start that he was a bright young kid with a lot of potential. We talk about baseball at the high school and collegiate level, growing up in Las Vegas, and what his plans are after college. I wish Jake the best of luck in the future, I know he's gonna do some big things. Give this a listen, I am sure you will enjoy!
