Welcome to Season 3! We didn't really plan to take a break over the summer, but sometimes life gets in the way of our fun. ;) We are thrilled to be back for Season 3, and excited about the content we have in store for you guys! Kendall Vanderslice is a writer and baker who studies the intersection of food and theology. She is a graduate of Wheaton College (BA Anthropology), Boston University (MLA Gastronomy), and Duke Divinity School (Master of Theological Studies). Formed through her experiences in a range of denominations, Kendall longs to foster dialogue seeking unity of the Church. She is convinced that Christ offered a meal specifically for its power to unite and to heal. In her first book, We Will Feast: Rethinking Dinner, Worship, and the Community of God, Kendall offers a way forward for those hungry for intimate community, those aching over congregational decline, and those wounded by divisions in the Church. She writes regularly for Christianity Today, Faith & Leadership, and Christ and Pop Culture and lives in Durham, North Carolina with her big-eared beagle named Strudel. Wrapping up our series on comparison with some special guests- our husbands! We asked them the questions you guys sent in. Come back next week as we kick off our Summer series, all about using your home and loving your neighbors!

This week we wrap up the last topic sent in from our listeners regarding comparison. We focus in for a few minutes on comparison and the home. We discussed how to be content where you are with what you have, and how we can love people around us in every season. We also remembered some of the homes that had the greatest impact on us as kids, and what made them unique.

This week we are talking about our disdain for Mommy Wars. What opinions should we care about? What should we let go? How can we be a voice of grace rather than discouragement? We also touch on the pressure we put on our kids, and how our words are going to help form their inner monologue.

This week we asked our listeners to tell us their struggles in regards to comparison and family. They came through for us, and we are discussing some of them today. We hope you will feel encouraged that you aren't alone in your struggles, and that you don't have to live in the pit that comparison can often create. We are continuing to pray for freedom for each of you as you search your hearts to find the areas where comparison has taken hold.
