We zip, grind, jump and bounce about this episode's game: Sunset Overdrive from Insomniac Games. We battle hoards of OD, Scabs, and murderous robots while trying to save Sunset City - and the world.

In this episode, the Nerds talk about Campo Santo's game Firewatch, a mystery action-adventure game set in the Shoshone National Forest. We discuss who's stalking Henry, grand conspiracies, and why it's important to keep your door locked in your fire watchtower. Seriously, there are some wackos out there.

For our latest episode of the podcast, we played Half-Life 2, a 2004 first-person shooter developed by Valve. Although considered a masterpiece of its time, the nerds didn't exactly have much good to say about it. Damn millennials. Enjoying their Halos and Call of Dutys.
We do spend an inordinate amount of time talking about The Game Awards, though, so you can enjoy that.

This month(s) we played the narrative adventure game Tell Me Why from Dontnot Entertainment. The story features the twins Tyler and Alyson Ronan, who are working to come to terms with and uncover truths and secrets behind the tragic loss of their mother.
Tell Me Why is also one of the first AAA title games to feature a trans character among it's main cast. We played this game for the month of June, recorded in August, and now releasing early September. It was supposed to be for Pride month, but things get complicated.
Anyway, we hope you enjoy this episode.

Jake and Adrian discuss Night in the Woods and its take on mental illness, returning home after dropping out of college, and small town life while George sits there and listens. These are things each of us relate to in some way or another - either with mental health such as depression, bipolar disorder, and dissociative disorders and Night in the Woods portrays them in meaningful and relatable ways. This game was played as part of Mental Health Awareness month, with our aim being to end the stigma of mental health and try to provide a better understanding surrounding those that suffer from mental health disorders.

For the month of April, we played Need for Speed: The Run, a game in which you drive from Golden Gate to Empire State. In our arduous journey across the United States, we make our way from 200th place to first place and claim our prize of getting our lives back after playing such a dreary and boring and repetitive game. Sorry, George.
Also, we're sorry for not giving you guys Borderlands 3 last month. It took too much time and we just didn't want to half-ass it like we've done before. Also sorry we didn't post anything at all last month.

Our spidey senses tingle in this action-packed episode of Nerds of the Orange Table. For the month of December 2020, we played Insomniac Games' Spider-Man from 2018 and Spider-Man: Miles Morales from 2020.
We tackle issues such as our own personal relationships, fighting the forces of evil, and pizza while swinging through the streets of New York City as Peter Parker, then switch it up and tackle our own sense of belonging when we play as Miles Morales. Listen to find out what our friendly neighborhood Spider-Men are up to.
