In this final episode of the series Naked and unashamed we tackle the really important issue of getting to the root of the reason why you may have hiding yourself from your brand. Because if we don't address the root reason, what will happen is for the short term length of time that we run the challenge you may post one image, or you may do one IGTV or one IG live, but it won't be something that is is sustained. And it is so incredibly important that we get to be confident about ourselves, that we own and respect and love ourselves so that we can effectively run our business and the other success is that we deserve to be. For many years a significant part of the battle was definitely founded in the fact that I spent much of my time comparing myself with others. Comparing myself with other bakers and and failing to see my own value and worth was definitely a stumbling block and something that held me back. It's so important for every business owner up recognise that they are special and valuable and the industry needs what THEY have to offer!

You may have heard me talk about why I struggled to be the face of my brand for 10 years. At the time, I didn't know why, but the whole George Floyd incident has really helped me to make sense of what has been a deep rooted oppression that has caused me not to value myself as a human, let alone have respect for myself as a business owner! In this short series I'm going to share my journey to help raise awareness of the struggle to hopefully help other bakers who may also feel the same as well as educate my non-black counterparts so that we can move towards a changed community. Fear of going out as a result of Covid had meant I didn't leave my house for 10 weeks! But today I decided to conquer that fear.
