We celebrate old times (c'mon) with a taste test of an old Doritos bag.  Then we go over our wish list for the Nats this offseason, but we don't figure on them hearing our pleas. You can't pleas everyone, so you've got to pleas yourself.  All on a brand new long overdue Nats and Son!

We are back! The Nats are off to a decent start, but the bullpen worries us. We wistfully reflect on ex-Nats that might be strong contributors to our pen this year.  Also take a listen at 27:10 to our interview with the President, just minutes before he fired the FBI director!

We step away from a Nats post-mortem to get a lot of other stuff off our chests in a special edition of NATS and Son. We talk about why so many people, including us, could see the signs but chose to ignore the signs along the roadsides in the 2016 election. What happened? What comes next? What should we do about it?

Nats Ennui.  Or Cubs Envy?  We got some of both.  Our season may be over, but the recriminations and sadnesses are just beginning.  We'll count them for you on an all new post-season edition of Nats and Son!

Exercise or exorcise those demons? Here in Washington, DC you can go up a long staircase in Georgetown and do both! We are really hoping to do both in game 5 of the 2016 NLDS tomorrow with our pal Max on the mound. We are just about counting on it to rid us of the disturbing flashbacks of 2012's game 5.  We talk about the series so far, the game that awaits, and have some flashbacks of a more positive kind when we announce our Nats of All-Time.  On an all new Nats and Son.

Can the folks on NBC's new show Timeless please use that time machine to go back and stop Buck Showalter from calling Ubaldo Jimenez to the mound? But then...we'd lose half this show and then...what would we talk about in the alternate time line that occurs when we do this show again? Now everybody is confused. No wonder China bans time travel narratives as too silly. Listen in on this time line to hear us also break down the Nats' playoff roster. Which by the time anybody hears this will have probably been decided on multiple alternative time lines. And we share our giddy devotion to playoff baseball, which is eternal, on the next NATS and Son.

Here we are acting like the division race is all sewn up and we have nothing to be concerned about or question (like why won't those Mets lose when the Nats lose or why did the weekend portion of the Braves' series seem like spring training games with a B team of minor league players or will somebody please step up and be the 3rd or 4th starter?). Nope, we don't appear to be at all concerned about those matters.  We'd rather talk about The Top Ten NATS of 2016!  Here on a genuine NATS and Son that features an actual son!

What was there to be so worried about? Nothing but a flexor mass between friends. Winning some close ballgames cures what ails ya!  So a young man's mind turns to...post season fancy! Breaking down premature post season roster predictions prematurely on an all new NATS and Son.

We are on an MRI Watch today.  Watching a pitcher's career turn?  Watching a season turn?  Maybe watching the Nats' future pass before our eyes.  Could it be that bad?  Certainly seems like it at the moment.  We'll find out later. But for now, let's grouse about it!

Two thirds of the way through the season, with NATS sitting up there in first, and we have premature predictions and projections for the post-season.  That can't possibly be a mistake, can it?
