'Catch the Fair One' is not just a story about human trafficking. It's also about the hardships of Native American women who go missing and/or are abused. The suffering of these women is often ignored by a mainstream that denies their dignity and existence. When POC go missing and are trafficked and/or killed, most turn a blind eye. Sometimes this even happens within the Native American community - largely due to systemic oppression, poverty and self-hatred. When Kaylee goes looking for her missing sister, it is primarily without support. Despite her boxing career, she is low on money. Due to a habit that she got clean from, her mother - who runs a successful casino - does not offer funds and may also blame Kaylee. What follows is a harrowing and action-packed movie about the lengths she goes to to bring her sister back home and exact justice on the scumbags that took her. In addition to her acting and boxing, Kali is also a long-time advocate of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMWIG) movement. #JosefKubotaWladyka #KaliReis#IFCFilms
