Naked Lunch
Phil Rosenthal, David Wild, and Straw Hut Media
Don't you love a great lunch and conversation with an interesting friend? You know, the kind that you talk about for years to come. Phil Rosenthal, creator, and host of Netflix's "Somebody Feed Phil," already knows how to find fascinating people, foods, and cultures. While he always likes eating lunch, he's even more enthusiastic about a lunch that includes a conversation with smart people who share their stories. From Straw Hut Media
Will Forte!
Phil and David are joined by their brilliantly talented friend Will Forte for an animated conversation about the remarkable fall and rise of "Coyote Vs. Acme," how Phil shared a desk with Chuck Jones, how Will loved working with Bruce Dern in "Nebraska" and how Will and David had a far more stormy experience working with P. Diddy. Go see "Coyote Vs. Eric Roberts . . . A Runaway Train of an "Naked Lunch"
The Academy Award-nominated actor Eric Roberts -- the famously prolific thespian who somehow filmed Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" and Larry The Cable Guy's "Witless Protection" at the same time --  joins Phil and David for tasty sandwiches from Lorenzo California and a wild conversation. Joined at the table for part of the episode by Eric's beloved wife and manager Eliza Roberts, Eric discussed many aspects of  his extraordinary life and career, from having Dr. Martin Luther King cut his birthday cake as a child, to his acclaimed work in movies like "The Pope of Greenwich Village" with Mickey Rourke, "Runaway Train" with Jon Voight and working with his favorite director ever, Bob Fosse in "Star 80." Eric also reads a few passages from his brutally candid 2024 memoir, "Runaway Train: Or, The Story Of My Life So Far," and shares his thoughts about the work onscreen he admires from his sister Julia Roberts, his daughter Emma Roberts, as well as the music of his stepson Keaton Simons, and so much more. To learn more about building community through food and "Somebody Feed the People," visit the Philanthropy page at philrosenthalworld.com.
