Show notes
When we picture Native Americans, we too often place them in the past, a dangerous assumption of their exclusion from modern life. However, Native people today work to build up many of the communities and economies we rely on. Molly Zachlin, Greta Klaus, and Josie Wesseler showcase three thriving indigenous businesses that help give us a glimpse into modern Native life. Join them to peel back the common stereotypes and seek answers beyond.
Season one of Naïveté involves the exploration of a class of settler students at the University of Notre Dame, situated on the traditional lands of the Pokagon Band of the Potowatomi, into the modern life and experience of Native Americans (not to mention all of the histories they were never taught). This series helps them overcome some of their naïveté about indigenous communities. They invite you to join them in their education.
