The "My OT Journey Podcast" is a student-run podcast by aspiring OT and OTA students throughout the United States. Each week a team of OT Student Influencers will interview next-level Occupational Therapists and OT Assistants. Other guests will include professionals that can support and serve as a resource for the students as they prepare for their careers as clinicians in the field. This podcast was created by Dr Robin Akselrud, OTD, OTR/L, Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy and Leadership and Management Coordinator of the HCHSIS for the American Occupational Therapy Association. Dr Akselrud has fifteen years of experience in a variety of clinical practice areas. She is a certified early intervention provider and has worked in several treatment settings, including schools, home care for medically fragile infants and children and hand therapy and splinting for infants and toddlers.
