Feels like no words will do justice to explain how privileged I felt to be part of the discussion. The conversation was very fluid and brought up so many points that women (just not in Nepal) have been talking about. I will not write much on the discussion because you will have to hear it to appreciate how great discussion it was.
If you want to be part of the discussion or have any topic suggestions, reachout @mygoodplacepod on Instagram/ Twitter.

Counter culture as defined by wikipedia "“A counterculture is a culture whose values and norms of behavior differ substantially from those of mainstream society, sometimes diametrically opposed to mainstream cultural mores.” So essentially if you're not following the traditional profession in your community - you're going counter culture. So to discuss why the counter culture is important we have assembled five individuals who are trailblazers in their own way. They will tell you the story and hopefully their story helps your to make that decision.

Mental health is one of the topic which is still often overlooked. Me, and my panelist would argue Mental health is more important and need to be look after more than physical health. There are so many misconceptions in our society that prevents an individual from seeking - probably one of the best step they will take towards self-care. Here are few resources for US residents:

James Baldwin, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”
Hey good people. This is part two of the panel discussion on Race in America, so please go back and listen to part one then come back here.
The first episode, the second part, me and my panelist are discussing the topic of race and try to answer questions like:
What are the top three things you’d like the other race of people to understand about you, your race?
How important is racial diversity?
What is the solution?
What does your American Good Place look like? Your American utopia.
This discussion has been broken down into two parts because of the content. There is so much information, knowledge, perspectives in this one I had to break it down into two parts.

James Baldwin, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”
Hey good people. Sorry if the intro is too loud, I am just way too pumped to be back. But the quote above from James Baldwin sums up what I (we) are trying to do with season 2. We will face, discuss the difficult topics of the society and help you understand other people's perspectives. Empathy will be key with this season.
The first episode, the first part, me and my panelist are discussing the topic of race and try to answer questions like:
Why is the topic of race such a sensitive topic in America?
What comes to your mind when you hear, privilege, discrimination?
Who should address and be accountable for the discrimination and privilege in the bigger picture?
How has your identity affected you, for good or bad?
This discussion has been broken down into two parts because of the content. There is so much information, knowledge, perspectives in this one I had to break it down into two parts. I will release the rest next Tuesday.

Last week we heard from the US citizens and their feelings about upcoming US elections. In this episode we will see get the perspective from people who are non US citizens and looking at the US from outside. Some are actually living in the US and their life also gets impacted from the election result.
think it's an interesting listen to non US citizens as well. Since the discussion was long I have broken it down to two parts so it's more palatable.
