A First Assist is an extra partner for the surgeon who is qualified to assist in surgery. Gabby spends her whole job in the operating room and loves it. This is a great option for those who love the OR and want to be involved in surgery, but don't necessarily want to go to school forever!

Dacon worked in 4 different areas of the hopsital during his first year as a PA which is extremely rare. He also had the benefit of working in a rural area at a critical access hospital, which presented him with all sorts of unique difficulties and learning opportunities. There were several benefits to working in a rural area that I hadsn't considered before as well!
