Mutual MENtal
Mutual MENtal
Pat & Hassan
Men's Mental Health podcast for candid and relatable discussions on mental health from a different perspective, that is the peer perspective. Cultural stigma surrounding mental health is one of the main obstacles to people admitting that they are struggling and seeking help. It is particularly pronounced in men and often described as a “silent epidemic”. Men die by suicide 3 times more often than women. Even though our goal is to have men opening up, everyone is welcome to listen and learn a thing or two. So let’s end the silence, break the stigma and normalize mental health. Sensitive content for some people. Hosts are not therapists nor doctors. Everyone’s experience is different and valid. Find what works for you. If you or someone you know need immediate mental health support, in the US dial 988 or call 1-800-273-TALK (8255), in Canada call 1-833-456-4566 (in Québec 1-866-277-3553) or go to your local hospital emergency room.
